Has anyone purposely let someone die because they didn't want them to show their faces in ME3?
sidenote: reason i bring this up is im on the Suicide Mission now and im only at 14 hours so im not happy with how it is going, my guys not renegade enough and i didn't do enough of the side quests, but basically im going to try to get everyone to survive (for the achievement) then im going to NG+ the game on either Vet/HC and go through for a ME3 file, and im considering letting Tali die.
Idk, feedback would be nice.
Purposely letting people die on suicide mission.

I've always wanted to know if it's possible to survive but have everyone in the crew and the squads die.

Did you do ANY loyalty mission? I guess I'm not sure how you're at the end w/ only 15hrs played. I mean even going super fast through i think it would take you 20ish hrs if you still got everyone loyal.

The only person I really don't want to have on my crew again is Jack, as she is the virtual embodiment of one of my least favorite personalities. And, yes, I do like to try to kill her.
Edit: Apparently, there can be some random ass deaths. I thought I'd be safe in sending a loyal Tali through the vents, and she died both times I did so. Legion, however, did just finely. I've read about random Mordin deaths and such. I'm sure there is some reason behind it, but it is unknown to me.

Yeah i have full loyalty of all my People, the reason my time is so low is i didn't do a lot of th eside missions and i didn't scan a lot of the planets. I was too excited to get to the meat of the story. My second play through will be more immersive and rpgstyle.
I did lose Tali's loyalty in the Tali/Legion scene because i ****ed it up and didn't stick to my renegade style enough, i was like 20pts from being in the final bar of Renegade.
Thats probably another side effect of not doing all the side quests i can.

Specific people will die based on specific things. I think you can reliably kill Jack by not upgrading the armor on the Normandy. She will die going through the Omega 4 relay if I remember correctly.

Yeah she died when i first went through because i didn't upgrade the armor plating, so i promptly reset, mined and upgraded.
Basically i've called the final mission bust Canon wise so it's acheievement run.
Then i'll NG+ for my personal Shep Canon

I finished one play through like this:
Did all the loyalty missions
Didn't upgrade the ship:Jack, Thane and Tali died
Then i purposely selected wrong characters for the specific missions
Jacob in the vents died
Zaeed as the team leader died
I sent Grunt back with the crew(thought they weren't going to make it but they survived)
Miranda as the shield, she couldn't hold up and Mordin died
At that point I had Samara, Garrus and Miranda left(I forgot to activate Legion so i had 10 members instead of 11)
I took Miranda and Garrus with me for the final mission and Samara stayed behind. All of them survived.
So in the end 6 members died and 4 survived

It is a lot more riskier this time around. ME1 was easy to choose who died etc. But I would be careful, because you could end up trying to kill off Jack, and actually killing Thane and Grunt.

I am not going to let anyone die out of a desire to see them dead, but I am going to let some characters die because (a) I am tired of scanning for minerals and (
one of my characters lost everyone he knew as a colonist, and his whole squad on Torfin, and so should probably lose everyone again going up against the collectors ... makes his story more tragic that way.

Basically it seems like Jack is the only character you can without influencing the others survivability, kill.
Or basically everyone but the two loyal people in your team.

Yeah, on my first play-through I let Jack die. There seems to be few if any guarantee she wouldn't go on a killing spree as soon as she returned.
On my second playthrough ( with a new Shepard leveled up just so I would go romance free into ME2 ), I let her live. Although I was annoyed that you couldn't continue conversations with her after a certain point, she would get stuck on having to break if off with Tali ( NEVER! ). I really would have liked an option where I could tell her that I wasn't interested romantically, only as a friend.
