Is it possible to collect all the weapons each playthrough, even if you can only use a few of the weapon types?

I am playing a Sentinel right now, but I'd like to equip Garrus with the Viper sniper rifle, and other squad mates with the machine gun assault rifle.  Is this possible?  If so, where could I find them?  I got the machine gun in the *spoilers*

collector ship on my soldier playthrough, but not my Adept playthrough.

You can't equip any squad mate with the Soldier's Collector ships unlocks, except for Grunt with the krogan shotgun, and Legion with the Widow sniper rifle.



Anyone who can use a sniper rifle can use the Viper.

Okay, but where can I find the Viper?



Also, say I chose AR as my specialty skill on the Collector base. Where can I get the machine gun? When I played as an Adept, I chose Assault Rifles and I never found the machine gun.

Viper is on illium during thane recruitment, you cannot get the machine gun, it evolves the assault rifle selection for soldiers, you cannot play through the ship again and choose a different gun period, it is simply not allowed. also those special weapons from the ship cannot be replicated, they are too advanced.

The machine gun is soldier only, regardless of if you took AR training.  If you don't like the battle riffle your best bet is to get the geth pulse rifle.
