What's a meal?
Oh, those. Ugh.

A nice menu from my homeplace:

-Apetizers (to share and not too big):
*Grilled cuttlefish with ali-oli.
*Grilled veggies (asparragus, tomatoes and mushrooms).
*Selection of ham and others.
*Salad of smoked fish (trout and salmon work best).

-Main dish:
*Roasted lamb on a clay oven.

-Dessert:
*Chocolate mousse.

Coffee and spirits afterwards, of course!

Ugh. This is what I had for tea:

Four chicken dippers (chicken breast meat in batter) with two potato waffles.

Now that's good eatin'!

I cant believe I never said this before....

...I was in US president Dwight D. Eisenhower's house...or as I would put it: His Gettysburg Retreat. It was very nice, and big, wish i could live there.

It is! And I know how to cook it too; every single of the items listed. The only problem to recreate it in the US is the kind of lamb we have because it´s a pretty unique and local race but I can more or less vary it. I could add the ham with a bit luck if I get a care package. :P

So we're talkin drinks now? Cool. I usually drink whiskey, whiskey, scotch and whiskey. Occasionaly a nice, hefty dark beer. Not really a fan of the light stuff.

Then you haven't watched Turkish Star Wars maam. It's about this guy who fights an a thousand year-old wizard and tries to use the golden brain to destroy the world! Clearly, watching this movie makes me a pretty awesome person to be around with, right?!:o

Well; I can switch stuff in that menu for a far more personal approach if I´m the one cooking.

For the main course, one of my faves is pork glazed with honey (one of my father´s best dishes) or caramelized turkey with apples (that´s my grandmother).

For the apetizers, I learnt from an Argentinian guy how to preppare a propper "provoletta" (grilled provolone), Arab-style stuff such as hummus or babaganoush is also nice; Catalan salads are great if you like cod...

Just ask for it and I´ll probably know how to cook something with it.

On the original topic: I've thrown a live hand grenade. :D (Don't worry. It was at a bomb range. No one was harmed. :P)

Random facts about me:

-I'm related to Ulysses S. Grant and descended from Swedish nobility (found that second one out this past summer).

-I've been taking Russian for almost four years now.

-I'm a crazy redhead.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

There are so many things I haven't heard of, Statulos. ;) I'm not fond of guns, bombs, or melee weapons in real life. I've no knowledge of ranges or range locations.

Ditto. I own a paintball gun, though, and I tend to enjoy the times when I go to a field with some friends...

I climbed a waterfall once. That was a good time.

I also had a cow go to the bathroom on me when I was in elementary school. Not a good time.

The waterfall was pretty sweet; I did that in Jamaica when my family and I went on a cruise. Good thing, too; we couldn't go to our other two original destinations because of a hurricane, so we went to the Bahamas instead. Pretty, but not as much to do.

Yes, the cow episode was not cool, particularly because it happened on our second grade field trip. I smelled like manure the rest of the day.

I had some other...interesting experiences in my school days as well. It's probably a good thing I don't see most of those people anymore :P
