I live in England. I want to live somewhere where there's more rain.
And I'm really not joking.
How much rain do you get, exactly?

Not enough. Been raining on/off for the past week, but it's really not enough for me.surfgirlusa_2006 wrote...

Same here. Fun Fact: I was all set up and ready to go on a Study Abroad trip to London and the damn thing got canceled. I even had enough money to pay for it myself, a feat I can't pull off now (life and all). Sad times.

Pistols, rifles, shottys......all? What caliber you going to mess with tomorrow?
Same reasons you like rain. I'm happiest when it's raining, I like the way the world seems to change when it does and... I don't know. I just really, really like rain.Seagloom wrote...

Why is that? Most people find that dreary. I like the rain myself. Particularly the smell of fresh rain hitting concrete or soil. I'm not sure I'd want to live somewhere with constant raining. The ocassional sunny day provides contrast.

Kaliber .69 in my Muzzleloader, 7.62x51 and 7.62x54r (Russian). All big bangers of course. My shoulder is already sore just thinking of it.

Commiefornia is still not so bad, it has some extremely stupid laws regarding high capacity mags and pistol grips on rifles, but thats about it. If you want to get into a real bad state move to NY. Guns? Forget it.Wicked 702 wrote...
Excellent. I take it the laws in Austria are more accepting then. I'm not sure I could legally fire or own any of those here in California...
I am only about 50 kilometers away from the Steyr factory, and yes, I own several rifles from Steyr. I'll get the the Steyr AUG civilan version this year, great rifle serves our Army very well. The quality is outstanding and accuracy extremely good too. They are e x p e n s i v e, but you get what you pay for.Speaking of which, since you live in Austria, have you ever fired a Steyr product? If so, what and how was it? I was interesting in getting a Steyr Scout a while back and I have always admired the design of the AUG.

Steyr scout is an excellent rifle, its only downside is that the small pencil-thin fluted barrel heats up quickly and hits are all over the place after 10 quick shots. At least the model in .308 does, dont know about the 223.

West Yorkshire, right near the Penines. Sort of in the middle of Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield and Halifax. Not enough rain

Thank you very much for the information. You know, the laws in CA aren't what's bad, it's finding a place to go shooting that sucks. Pistols and shottys are fairly easy, I have good places to go all within 45 minutes of where I live. But for rifles....especially larger cal like those you mentioned, those need to be outdoors. The nearest place for that is about 3 hours away. Bah....
