You have OCD? I never would have guessed (:innocent:). I have ADHD (emphasis on the H) and I would have responded to your post earlier had I not been distracted by a shiny thing.

Here is the test. Look over at the nearest electronic device. Is it currently flashing 12:00?Seagloom wrote...
- I'm slow to actually adopt new devices. I'm still use a CD player given to me in the early 90s when I play CDs. I still rely on the original Rio MP3 players that holds like, 20 songs tops. I also still use an old DVD player. The whole bluray thing is passing me by. I don't own a cell phone or heck, even a beeper.
I'm not a luddite though. I keep up with trends and consider myself tech savvy. I just never upgrade anything besides my computer.

You had a Rio mp3 player!! I though I was the only one who used one! Mine broke some time ago and I felt so bad when that happened; the amount of sweat and effort to buy it was horrible...Seagloom wrote...

I rarely need more than 10 songs on a give trip, and so haven't seen the point in buying a newer player.
That's...actually pretty smart!
Really, do we need 1,000 songs for a 1-2 hour trip? Heck no!
...But we like to think that we do.

If some day I get filthy rich, one of my first purchases will be a set of Nautilus speakers and the biggest Harman Kardon or Denon amplifier i can get.
Now, the sound system I have (and I miss, since it´s in Spain) is a Denon amplifier with 5 KEF cresta speakers and a massive subwoofer. It took me a day of work to settle them well so the sound was close to perfect and I could fit it among the massive amount of books I have.
The result? My neightbours hate me with passion since the basphemies of the music I generaly listen to can be perfectly heard from far, far away.
I had to save for almost 3 years to complete it and it´s a "medium quality" thing compared to what it´s out there, but those 3 years ment an uncountable amount of graves to be excavated...

Once you listen to Extreme Metal through those things, nothing smaller can stand side by side.

In my experience, NAD, Harman Kardon and Denon are the best amplifiers out there at least for "home standards". Speakers are a different animal, since my personal preferences go for Infinity and KEF.

I havent experienced all that stuf, but when i heard "Tool" on Bose boxes with subwoofer and stuff i felt almost
like back in concert (except maybe the missing headache

Hey! I don't remember writing those things. Hmm... must be going senile already. I should have done more with my life. ~Wistful sigh~
That isn't the only thing you don't remember!
I also [*memory cannot be accessed*] your entire family while you were [*memory cannot be accessed*].
...Yeah, I probably shouldn't tell you about the time I [*memory cannot be accessed*] your cat. Hehe. Really sorry about that. But, you don't remember, right...?

And I can anyone agree who the most interesting person in this thread is yet...? It's definetely a close race...
And to the person who said 'Tool' sounds good with some good'ole speaker'n'base action. Hell yeah!!!! You are 110% correct....they rock hardcore. Even though technically they are not hardcore...? Ah, hardcore...

Anyway, something else about me. My arm-span is about 2 or 3 centimeters longer than my total body height and this makes buy long-sleeve shorts that fit in overall length and arm length incredibly difficult...
