I´d be running arround the US every weekend if I had less crapp to do and a car. Maybe next year when I´m upgraded to Ph.D. student.Seagloom wrote...

The farthest I have ever been away from my home in Pennsylvania is Denver, Colorado...in the USA.And it was only to visit family. Grrrr...
If it helps you feel better I've been no farther than California. I've been to Los Angeles and San Francisco. I visited the latter frequently when I attended college in a small town further north.
The only time I've left the US was a on a trip to Canada. I'm planning to change that in the next year though. If my plans work out I'll be visiting a close friend in Europe.
But still, I have had a quite adventurous life so far, so I´m not complaining.

Also why is it when you are on a flight where you do not cross a body of water they point out your seat is a flotation device.
And while I am on a rant anyone ever notice that they have brail on the drivers side window at ATM machines.

I also woulndt mind checking out Canada someday. I'll tell you what though, my families habit of sitting around all the time and not traveling is really fueling my urge to "get out there" if you know what I mean..

Chances of listening to the swansong are quite higher in a car than in a plane. Jetlag kills me but it´s the small toll I pay to get all the rewards that come from going back and forth to my two homes.DragonDefender wrote...
Ive been on buisness trips overseas a bit, but I hate flying in civilian airplanes. I awlays think I know if it is my time to go I am good with that, but what if it is the guy's next to me time to go.

I have a lifelong goal to go to Germany someday...once I acquire the needed expenses and certificates, of course. Have any of you been there before...???

Well... irst of im no German, but i lived almost my whole life their. So lets say im a neutral observer for you
"Wie ist dein deutsch? Kannst du mich verstehen?"
Well Germany is like every other Country. You have "oldschool" people, that live in small towns and you have people who live in grown citys with typical modern style. Modern clothing etc.
Also there are in certain central locations (ie. Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich etc.) many immigrants from everywhere, so there are even no-european influences in everything now-and-then.
fun for weekends? Well when i suppose, that 40% of the first American immigrants were from german lineage, you could say its almost like in USA
But i dunno, because i wasnt in USA, so its a guess.
Ofc. you can go clubbing, drinking with friends, shopping, gaming whatever you want!
Also you can drink beer here, when you are at least 18

I getting really confused with word ordering and verbs ALWAYS being in the second position in a sentence...but overall, it's been fun.
Anyway, I kind of expected the activities and stuff to be the same. One thing though that acttracts me to Germany is the history...I just find it intesting and i am of partial German discent(sp?)
Danke, Anchev !!!
