I don't care about the Greek god part. In French, it means flawless/perfect, and in Irish Gaelic it means bard/poet. It's such a good summation of who I am...
Yeah, ok, you caught me. I'm just kidding.
Yep, you do have a good name. The meaning of mine sucks, but I like my name itself so I'm happy. I also rarely meet another me

When I first came to Canada, I walked out of the airport into the middle of a February winter night. It was -20C with the windchill or even colder, so I was told later on. I had nothing on but jeans, a shirt, a leather jacket, and leather gloves.
Imagine what that's like for someone who had been living in 25-35C weather for most of his life.
Brutal at that time. Quite funny looking back on it.
Oh, and we left a parrot named Lori in my aunt's care. He's not missed all that much. He didn't like me, and bit me quite often

Mine has some cool paradoxes; let´s see:
-First: Little one, humble one in Hebrew adapted to Latin and then, to Spanish. (I´m by no means small
-Middle: from an Indoeuropean root designing both strength and lightning.
-First surname: Spanish adapted from Latin meaning martial or serious.
-Second surname: Son of the Lord adapted from Latin to Spanish.
That´s the official denomination (we Spaniards use a surname from the father and another from the mother) but legaly I have 6 more surnames.

"...is a common name in the Nordic countries. In Finland it is a name for males, but in Denmark, Norway and Estonia it's a name for females. The usage within Sweden is male, but besides of the Finnish-speaking Swedes the name is used as a nickname for people called Jan, Jan-Erik, Jan-Olov etc.
The name belongs to the family with its origin in Johannes, or in English John"
So, guess my name
My grandfather's name was Onni, which translates directly to "luck"

Strange is, that they say it means "Peace and Glory". But the first word fits in modern meaning its former meaning was "Battle" or sth similar.
While the second meaning was formerly "Glory" and now means sth. like "Feast".
Today it normally can be said as "The peaceful One"
Someone has mixed up the different meanings, it seems ^^
My family name (surname?) is very rare and i havent found anything neither in german, english or slavian languages

Most of my mother's family is from the Netherlands, wich is not far away from the nordic peninsula, so i'm familiar with nordic names, and when you said "John" the bell rang. Then i googled the block of text you posted just to confirm, and finally got pointed to an article about the name "Janne"
