On another note, Deadpool is an amazing badass. But I've always been partial to Ghost Rider. Maybe because his original incarnation was a hellspawned creature worshipped as a god. Or perhaps because I still think the Penance Stare is one of the more original powers ever conceived. Although I pretty much stopped reading ages back, when Dan Ketch died. So I nothing of what came next.

Wolverine is okay, but I only liked his stand alone series because Jubilee often showed up. Picking three favorite Marvel characters would be a tremendous pain. >.<

Punisher all the way: no supernatural yadda yadda; just hatred and lots of lead.

I´m also partial for Deadpool because I love characters that break the 4th wall.

I read the Civil War comics in a Barnes and Nobles once. Also, I like Watchmen. That's the extent of my comic book repertoire.

Ahem, yeah Deadpool's really the only character/series I read. I buy the Panini UK reprint series called "Wolverine & Deadpool" (or is it vs now? I forget), and it's worth the ~£3 a month. I also used to buy Marvel Legends (Thor/Iron Man/Captain America) but I stopped due to not being able to afford/no way to buy it and 'cos I only ever bought it for Thor.

Really? I really liked Wolverine: Origins (I saw it in the cinema) despite Wade only having a short amount of airtime before being retconned. Watchmen was surprisingly faithful to the graphic novel (I got them both for Christmas, and I watched the movie first) and I enjoyed it. Um... Hellboy 1 + 2 were absolutely brilliant, and I liked Iron Man. I also liked Ghost Rider!
I don't watch comic book movies. Nope.

I do not disagree. In general I prefer lower powered characters unless they are done very well. It's tough though because all my favorite characters on both ends of the power scale are in DC or under a smaller label.

I used to like Punisher quite a bit but he started to become one dimensional for me after awhile. Although that one shot with Ghost Rider, Punisher, and Wolverine that first introduced Blackheart was one of the craziest, most uniquely drawn team ups I've seen.

Have you red what Garth Ennis did with Punisher? Some of them are outstanding, especially the one that explains why he really is what he is (called Birth, by the way).

It´s easy to get; it´s called MAX series. And yes, you missed it. Just some amazing dots in the series:



-Homosexual Texas rangers.

-Punisher has a couple affairs.

-You´ll get to know some of his friends, from SAS operators till people in the Delta.

-Some creative killings.

-Barracuda!

Poison Elves is excellent.  Very funny.  I think you'd like the Purple Marauder from that one.  He's hilarious and yells "NYAR!" alot. 


I also have a few different manga series, and I have all the issues of Warlands and Banished Knights from when Dreamworks Studios was still in business.  All my other comics are just random ones that I've picked up to use for drawing reference....

Question: Do they print magna in Western left to right? I've tried right to left, but I always end up on the ground in a pool of my own tears.

Indeed, and don't forget the upcoming Thor and Captain America movies, followed by an Avengers movie and possibly a few more. There's also (another) reboot of Spiderman, another Wolverine film and I think (not sure) there's either an X-Men reboot or prequel on its way.

It's dependent upon the publisher and the title. I'd say about 3/4 of the one's I've read are in the original right to left format. You do get used to reading backwards after awhile though. I don't even notice it anymore.

Shh, I've not seen it!
I really want to, so I might have to pick it up. I was blown away by his performance in American History X (the only movie in recent years that's brought me anywhere close to crying), and I've got high hopes for his portrayal as Bruce Banner. Like Ghost Rider, I've really not much knowledge of the Hulk so I suppose I'd be easily impressed.
Can we have a She-Hulk film? :3
