Wakizashi are like really small & short Katanas.  



I have a machete too, they are pretty useful against burglars.

Wakizashi is like a "mini-kodachi" right? Like a dagger?

Closer to a gladius, actually; if you compare the katana to a hand and half sword.
The dagger is the tanto.

Hmm, I think if BW would include them they would all go into the ''short sword'' category.

I ran away with the carnival, and travelled with them for a considerable part of the season, not once, but twice. First time at age sixteen, the second time with my husband (now ex) when we were in our early twenties. We both went.



I have been a cashier at a convenience store when a gunman came in and asked for the money in the register. I'd only worked eight days there. I asked if he wanted it in a bag? (before plastic). I still don't know where I got that idea???



I only have a shotgun. No cool swords. But I will shoot you if you break in.

Our minds find the most comfort in reverting to familiar patterns in those situations. I am guessing you had it drilled into you to ask customers that question, and when he pointed a gun at you and asked for something it was easier to deal if you snapped into "customer service" mode than acknowledge that if you dont say the exact right thing (or even if a loud noise spooked him) you could die.
