So we have had planet scanning in ME1 and ME2. I'm going to go back and play ME1 again to get some different outcomes, does the minning of the different minerals and ores mean anything?

You get a mineral bonus going into ME2, if you complete the collection quest.

I already had 1 ME2 playthrough done, with most of the achievements.
I replayed ME1, did all side/unc missions etc. (lvl 60 finish was a NG+ of another character)
On my new me2 import of said character. I started out with 60k of everything 350k credits and a level 5 character. Although as I understand it, NG+ or not in ME2 achievement unlocks give you bonuses as well even on a brand new game(such as picking a bonus power). So I am not sure how much of an impact was just ME1. Because 60k across the board and 350k credits is higher than what people were saying you get from a level 60 character. (My first ME2 playthrough was off a lvl 50, with a minimal amount of side quests complete) My NG+ of my first ME2 character started out with 200k credits and 50k resources across the board, so I was extremely surprised with how many resources and credits I started with on a brand new import.
