I am tired of wasting time trying to get this craptastic piece of garbage to run. I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with Consumer Affairs. Maybe if enough pressure is put on Bioware they will fix it ( I personally believe it is beyond repair). If you ordered from D2D then go and give the game a 0 ( zero) rating. I did and it dragged them from a 9.7 to a 8.7. If enough people do it then we can drag that rating down to nothing. Let's see how Bioware likes that!

I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!

AMD Athlon 64 2.4ghz +3800

Nvidia 8800 GTS 512mb

Windows Vista Home basic (6.0, Build 6002)

That won't do you any good. I tried to find posts wherein you asked questions about your problem and tried to cooperate with people that offered to help you, but I couldn't find any. Maybe you should ask for some troubleshooting help before you hire an attorney...?

I couldn't even get the game to run at first, but with a little searching and troubleshooting I got it working great.  Granted, I have quite a bit of experience troubleshooting problems, but there are plenty of helpful folks around here that could offer you some suggestions if you're not.  I feel your pain, though, this is the first problem I've had with a PC game in around 6 years, and I play a lot of games...on several different computers.

Been there, done that. I have tried every possible fix on about half a dozen websites. Nothing works. I have spent 3 days trying every suggestion possible. The BBB was a last resort.

Well, all software has bugs.  I'm sorry that in this case they're making it so you can't run the game.  I'd suggest following steps in the "how to report a problem" stickied thread in this forum so you can at least let Bioware know about your problem and details about your computer's configuration so they can fix it...even if it's just to benefit someone else that might have the same problem.

Would you mind posting your system specs including your video card model and operating system?

Don't bother guys, he didn't register the game therefore doesn't own it. Hasn't tried to install anything. Doesn't have a problem. Simple as that.

while i agree he sounds like a troll.... anyone with half a brain wouldnt file a complaint nor hire an attorney that would cost well over 1000 dollars to retain over a 50 dollar game... but... your statement isnt entirely accurate... i havent registered my game yet i assure u i own it... however  if in fact he did download illegal copy.. he should be on his own with tech support...

True mysticwolf, I have lots of games I haven't registered. BUT if you had problems and wanted support from the company you WOULD REGISTER YOUR GAME if you wanted to be treated seriously and receive help. That just makes sense.

My copy of the game is legal and registered. It is the deluxe digital download from Direct2Drive.

And nowhere did I say anything about a lawyer. I simply filed some complaints.

Also the specs he listed were below minimum. No dual core, and I do believe the 8800 is a lower end card for this game, so he has a crappy system that can't meet the min specs for the game, and he wonders why it doesn't work.
