My buddy let me borrow the game, so I installed it via his disk.
I loved it so I bought it online as a download, well it was already on my system so I didn't actually install it again.
Now I've given him back the disk, but the game won't launch since there is no disk in the drive.
Is there any way to fix this without a complete reinstall and loss of my week's worth of game time?
Please help.

You will need to uninstal the DVD version and install the Digital Version you bought, they are different installations, with different DRM systems, and you can't just switch from one to the other without a reinstall.
However all your saves and such will be in My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age and won't be affected by the reinstall. Just don't delete your saves if it asks you doing the uninstall.

Ah thank you, yeah as I was in the shower it occurred to me that the saves must be in a specific folder that I can manually hold on to and replace if need be.
Thanks again!
