the worst part is not having any gameplay demos to see what the gameplay will be like. if i had that i would play the demo over and over again until the game came out

Yes, we'll play it, I know, but... what will we do after we finish the game? After we finish all six origin stories? Sooner or later (and I'll bet 'later') the game will lsoe its replayability value. What'll we do then? DAO has become such a focus of my lif that I'm having trouble imagining what I'll do after it passes...

Getting all hyped up, thinking in a perfect world where it rains beer and women dance outside on your front lawn, that you could be playing this beatiful masterpeice of a game enjoying every aspect. Taking in the sights, the sounds and the bloody choices, the fun! Instead its 3 weeks away, not within your grasp. Beer doesn't rain from the sky and women don't dance on your front lawn. Finally your not playing Bioware's lastest and greatest rpg.

However, I now find myself inextricably drawn here like iron filings to a magnet. It's 9 a.m. on a Sunday for goodnes sake. I want to gleen as much info about DA:O as I can so that I can get of to the best start possible. The waiting is unbearbale for me. I constantly think about this game. I feel like I'm on Cold Turkey and 6 Nov cannot come soon enough. But the worst thing about waiting for me is seeing our North American cousins get in there before the rest of us and posting their comments on the forum. I know I shouldn't look but I know I am gonna do just that.

Just saying, might be something to lessen the annoyance.

Its funny because its true. More than once a game will come out on a Wednesday in North America and by the time its released in Europe on Friday there is already a patch.Kevin Lynch wrote...
You could always consider the extra three days a little bit more pre-release testing by NA folks so that the time between release and patch for you will be three days less.

I for one would like to thank North American gamers for the service they provide to European gamers.

Last time I remember feeling this way was right before Final Fantasy 7 came out. Yeah... I know....
That game is way too hyped now and it saw it's glory days come and go. Way too many games since have tried to "clone" it. But, you have to admit, when it came out for the first time, and you saw what 3d could do for the JRPG... wow, what a blast! I have to admit, I am not the biggest JRPG fan anymore, but I will also admit to loving that game.
My point is, I hope that this game is every bit as ground breaking. Perhaps it could be the start to a new future of RPG games. It certainly is the FIRST time I have seen this style hit consoles. Perhaps it is a little like KotOR on the surface, but it reminds me so much more of Baldur's Gate and it's ilk. I hope we all enjoy this game when it comes out. Hang in there guys, we're almost there!

What bothers me is that there are a few folks out there already playing the game.
Typically some dude from a gaming magazine who is going to crib about the fact that the player is not fully voiced, while the more appreciative of the two- that would be me- is sitting here venting.
I got my copy of the UK PCGamer mag yesterday, and they were winging that it was too hard - as in, they couldn't roll through it without pausing to get tactical... Boo hoo for them; so sad, actually having to think in a RPG: Too bad, so sad.
Seriously: That's their idea of a flaw in the game? Sounds like the difficulty's perfect.
Reminds me of one Xbox mag when ME came out; they basically complained that some of it was really hard if you tried to run and gun, and that the controls didn't suit that approach. Too bad, so sad; if you want to run and gun, run back to Halo, guys - I like to think a bit in my combat, thanks. (between that and the flat-out obvious errors regardin in-game lore in the article - stuff anyone who'd been on the ME forums woudl spot - I no longer buy that mag.
Back to the overall topic: for me, the worst thing is that I need to hang around the forums for news, and to keep the cravings at bay, but it only makes me want DA:O more.
Oh well...
