I'm not acting in the capacity of a moderator. I'm just commenting that your argument would be stronger if it didn't contain so much extraneous material. It's only incidental that it happens to be inflammatory. If you had posted a lot of content on airplane dynamics by way of analogy, I would have commented the same way.

I merely took the same tone as Willey did when he first waded into the discussion. If you have a problem with it, take it up with him. He isn't the first person I disagreed with on this thread, but unlike people like thisisme8, he took a needlessly confrontational stance which I frankly didn't really feel deserved any politeness.

Actually, Cryo Ammo lasts long enough that you CAN have it active on multiple targets at once, and I have done so, in fact, precisely for the purpose of fire control. Normally, FFing targets and killing them quickly is preferable - when you have damage-oriented ammo. When you have stunning ammo, what you want is to spread your fire around so that less enemies fire back. It's an effective tactic for both Disruptor and Cryo Ammo.

And, as I have said before, I'm not claiming that Cryo is useless. Even at rank 1 Cryo ammo does hold an enemy to have some use, true. The point is that there are abilities that hold them for longer, or carry with them a significant side effect, without the need to shoot them, thus rendering Cryo ammo inferior.

The point about spreading your firing around is relevant but, as I pointed out earlier on, you can simply use some Biotics to do this faster and without compromising you ability to focus fire on targets, It takes far less time to throw a number of bad guys up in the air then it does to tag them individually, after all, nor does it require you to deviate from whatever target you're shooting at.

Cryo supporters, I have yet to notice a counter to the point that after SUCCESSFUL use of Cryo (ammo or power) on an unprotected target, it still takes a second or two for said target to freeze completely. Til the freeze is complete, target is still mobile and poses a threat (can still shoot) and I have died to attacks from a freezing target. Biotic powers like throw would immediately neutralise the said target without the delay.

Precisely.

It's not about him. It's about you. Your point can be made more effectively by removing extraneous content that's muddying the clarity of your statements. That's all I'm saying. If you really want to lay it on him and shut his piehole, you lay it on straight and slap his face with pure fact.

Allowing his tone to affect you this way weakens you because you aren't making your points as incisively as you otherwise would have. Don't let him do that. Don't give him that power.

A fair point.

I'm not arguing FOR Cryo ammo. I'm not a huge fan of it myself. I'll let others argue the point.

Cryo ammo is really only useful in two scenarios, outside of squad mod;

Vanguards obviously. Don't really need to explain that.

And; Soldiers.

Concussive shot is pretty lackluster, however, if you are focused on ammo skills and basically adrenaline abuse, it does become quite handy.

I usually put disruptor/inferno on the assault rifle depending on level.

Then cryo on the shotgun.

So as soon as you drop defense, switch to shotty, freeze, smash.

It works quite well.

Haven't really got into engineer yet, it's still on ME1, so no opinion on cryo blast.
