I would like to mention this thread is being merged with the electric flavoured icecream thread We encourage all posters from there to post here even if its just a one drop in post. Thanks in advance

My name is Legion for we are many. And we support spending ever last minute with legion making sure we both live to tell about it, and getting legion early to maximise his usefulness, EDI and joker can fly the ship just fine.

Legion is my favourite new character in the game and my second favourite over all. He plays the part of the prothian VI, and the Reaper VI in masseffect 1, as a databank with a bunch of intresting plot info stored in him. I love his lines, his emotion. I cant stop talking to him because I have to ask ever question I can, every time I can, He is truly fasinating and could serve as a real help trying to unite quarians and geth. Legion forever.

Here is a way that in no way is to my credit to get legion at the start of the game. All credit goes to Soldier989 and Malificis. We hope this dose not cause problems with these two individuals, as we just want all legion information stored in one area, if someone was to request we take it down we will accordingly.

Please take time to vote in the offical naming of legions combatdrone

This next section is credited in full to Soilder989 and is a simpler version on how to obtain legion for use as a squad member before his time.

How to unlock Legion from the beginning of ME2 (PC Only):

Step 1) Download and install this tool allowing you to edit the Coalesced (File that contains weapon, squad, mission, and other game data): http://social.biowar...m/project/1854/

Step 2) Open it up, and search for the folder you have ME2 installed to.

Step 3) Use the search bar and search for "SFXGame.BioSFHandler_PartySelection"

Step 4) Find "AvailableLabel=IsSelectableGeth" and change "Geth" to "Leading"

Step 5) Click on the Rebuild Coalesced tab

Step 6) Enjoy Legion ingame, his loyalty mission and everything else should work just fine

Notes: Legion apparently has audio (voice, opinions, etc) for nearly every mission in ME2.

Mini Chronology

-- In exchange for waging war on organics, Sovereign offers the Geth Reaper technology. Legion later refers to Reapers as "the old machines", and to the upgraded Geth as "Heretics".
-- Shepard leads the war against Sovereign
-- Legion's platform is built and installed with 1183 processes (of which 1144 are high level) to search for Shepard, the only organic to have killed one of the "Old Machines", Sovereign.
-- Shepard's trail leads Legion to Eden Prime, Feros, Noveria, Virmire, Ilos and a dozen uncharted worlds, only to  end at Normandy crash site in amada system of the omega nebula
-- Geth, while "monitoring organics' transmissions", learn of Shepard's death
-- During his search of the Normandy crash site, Legion uses a piece of N7 armor to repair himself.

-- [2 years pass]

-- Using Reaper technology given by Sovereign, the Heretics design a virus that will make all Geth "worship the old machines".
-- In order to understand and rewrite the virus, Legion is sent to the derelict Reaper to extract data from its core
-- Shepard encounters and rescues Legion on the dead Reaper, then procedes to reactivate him on the Normandy SR-2 .
-- Legion has "no data available" as to why the N7 armor was chosen for self-repair, only claiming "There was a hole".
-- Legion and Shepard go to Heretic headquarters station, where the virus is kept in a "quantum storage device" and therefore must be destroyed.
-- Legion is informed that the virus is complete, provides Shepard with an alternative to destroying the station
-- Shepard chooses to release the virus and rewrite the Heretics/Or to destroy Heretics.

Note: If chosen as Tech specialist, Legion is a potential casualty of Collector rocket fire at the doorway.

Potential Plot Elements In ME3

-- results of releasing altered virus/Or derstroying geth heretics.
-- legion's participation and role in the story and quarian/ geth war

It should be a hint to the folks at Bioware that while Legion seems to be warmly received by the community according to most attempts at surveying opinion (as imperfect as they are), discussions and fan threads about him tend to fizzle. Ultimately, there's not a whole lot to discuss regarding the character, which is a shame. He was underdeveloped and under-utilized in ME2. I hope he gets more of a chance in ME3. In my opinion he's (potentially) one of the most interesting characters in the entire Mass Effect milieu.

Im sure he will be in ME3, thats why he was acquired so late. In fact, i bet he will be a plot device used to help recruit the Geth against Reapers.

So, campaign for him all you wish, but i think he will be in the game irregardless.

Legion supporters should really start uniting, we have more than one fan thread, we have more than one group.

Someone needs to organize us better.

Well its not just he was underdeveloped but most people get him near the end of the game and dont have to much to do after its over so they dont get to know him. I agree and if he can start off at the beging of masseffect 3, we can really get to know him and ever start a romance subplot. That was a joke. He had alot of good things to say, and bringing him on talis mission's were awsome.

and the fact he has dialouge, in the missions before horizon, and alot to say after missions, infact

I havent reached thr part where he just says hes busy over and over yet, so they must have been thinking about giving you him earlier, and I wish they did.

Definately didn't get enough Legion time, and frankly I think everyone that survived the suicide mission will be in ME3. Unless they pull another "ship blows up and you die" thing, which they won't cause they aren't cheap.

Get him early, dont do anything before you get him, hardly, and then bring him everywhere, show everybody how much we love him were willing to give our crew for him.

He was one of the characters, where i wanted too step into the game, so i could ask every single question i could think of about the true geth. He is a wealth of information, about the lore, biowares take on Artificial intelligence, and the organic like emotions behind a machine. He was one of the crowning achievements of Mass effect 2 and was sadly underdeveloped. He should see much more action in the next game, and pages of new dialogue for us to sift through. But please Bioware, dont throw too much info at us at once, its hard too collect it all at once, space it out a bit!

It'll be a crime if he is left out. We get to him so late, not nearly enough time spent with him. Such an interesting character, and I agree with the guy who said he's one of the most interesting in all of Mass Effect.

if he is reduced to cameo land it will be a shame, or if he isnt recrutable untill tali was (aka act 2) it will still be a shame. I still have to find out why he stole my armor.

Edit: I also love his story and how he searched the starts for you, hey I wonder what advice mordin would give you for gethmance?

Well, I think it's clearly hinted that he (I guess I should be saying "they") have a burgeoning sense of admiration for Shepard Commander, and they have difficulty expressing it because they can't logically rationalize what's happening.

But I don't want Legion to tell me. I want to be shown, I want to see Legion actually develop rather than just be fed the development through dialogue. That's why I hope they return as a squad member in ME3.

TBH I would think that all the team members you had that survived the endgame would more then likely be in ME3 as your still on the SR2 Normandy preparing things in the cargo hold. So yes more then likely everyone that lived is in ME3, just not sure how there going to be implemented as ME3 is a ways off still xD.

Yeah, its gonna be a pain for bioware they dug themselves a whole,  but they might give some characters a way out like samara and her code thane and his illness. legion should have no reason to leave, its not like he has to share what he knows.
This tread is more to unify and gather all legion fans, then to support his return because im confident in that, but we must make sure he is not a cameo.

This. It'd be really cool to see the Geth develop to the point of having something emulating emotion. It'd be really cool to see how far they've come at the end of ME 3 by portraying them with some emotion while fighting the Reapers. It would make sense, considering the reapers essentially brainwashed a large portion of their population. It'd be a very emotionally engaging situation for them. Maybe even enough to help them understand it a bit. It's gonna be awesome to watch the Geth (and Legion) develop into their sentience and watch them adjust and grow into emotional (allbeit in a primitive capacity) beings.

Though if I had to pick a side, I'd still side with the Quarians...and no. I don't like Tali.
