When Legion calls the reapers the "Old Machines" it almost sounds to me that the geth think the reapers are tools. I always had the same feeling. Are they what they say they are? Are they, much like the geth, sentient and capable of creative and independent thought, or are they tools of some other organic race that we haven't seen yet? Are the reapers created by some ancient race? According to Sovereign "We have no beginning. We have no end. We simply are". He might have told the truth. But they might also in some way be connected to the "Leviathan of Dis". But that's just a very long shot. Nothing more than a hunch. Currently I think the reapers and the geth have a similar past/evolution. Sovereign tells us "We are Legion". Does that refer to the same evolutionary path, or was that a misquote of "My name is Legion, for we are many", or are the reapers Legion! I.e. are the non-heretic geth and the reapers connected anyway and still evil? Hehe. It's a bit off topic to speculate about that, but it sure puzzles me a bit.

Ok, someone pointed me in the right direction and I finally figured out how to make Legion (or any other squad member) available from the time you get the Normandy. I uploaded my Coalesced.ini file for download with everyone (Except Kasumi) available from the time you first set off in your new ship. Please note that these unlocked squad mates will not appear in the Normandy. The only thing this does is unlocks the squad mates for use on missions. I haven't encountered any errors so far, but I'd suggest making a backup of your original coalesced.ini file. The file is located in C:Program FilesMass Effect 2BioGameCooked (Assuming you didn't get the digital download). I also made a few other modifications to three weapons.

Katana Shotgun: I thought only 10 spare shells was a bit stingy, increased spare ammo to 15.

Scimitar Shotgun: I thought 16 spare shells was a bit stingy, increased spare ammo to 24.

Avenger Assault Rifle: I thought the recoil made the weapon almost unusable. Decreased recoil by about half.

Geth wont be able to take the councile seat. What I want is Geth C-sec. Think about it, they communicate at the speed of light. Nomore people getting away, one squad of Geth would drop his fast. Also Geth dont get tierd from extensive running, and such.

I wasnt on last night beacuse I was playing ME 2. I'm sooo pissed. I'm trying to get Legion ASAP, so I do EVERY sub quest and I scan EVERY planet. No Legion, so I recrut Sammara, and Thane, now i have Legion, but no quests to do with him

How to unlock Legion from the beginning of ME2 (PC Only):

Step 1) Download and install this tool allowing you to edit the Coalesced (File that contains weapon, squad, mission, and other game data): http://social.biowar...m/project/1854/

Step 2) Open it up, and search for the folder you have ME2 installed to.

Step 3) Use the search bar and search for "SFXGame.BioSFHandler_PartySelection"

Step 4) Find "AvailableLabel=IsSelectableGeth" and change "Geth" to "Leading"

Step 5) Click on the Rebuild Coalesced tab

Step 6) Enjoy Legion ingame, his loyalty mission and everything else should work just fine



Notes: Legion apparently has audio (voice, opinions, etc) for nearly every mission in ME2.

legion good for that or a collector assassin is coming up to you, shields down all hope is lost then pop goes the widow

Seeing as how Legion could be critical to getting the Geth to fight the Reapers (the enemy of my enemy and all that) I definitely support having.. uh.. them? in ME3.
