Ya, the only time its bad, is when you are just bumping, or you posted twice saying the same thing.

And since you look like you might be a regular poster, let me welcome you to the thread Image IPB

Why, thank you B)

Which randomly brings to mind something I've been meaning to ask... I see that there is apparently an easter egg with Legion showing off his moves... How do you get him to do that? He's been decidedly un-dancy for me so far :? taunting me with his standing, I suppose... knows I'm waiting for a dance, the tease!

Also, is it possible to take Legion along to other missions (other than his loyalty mission) without getting your kidnapped crew killed? If I have to let people die to do it, I may do that with another Shep. (I'd already done everything before I got him with my first Shep.), but if it is somehow possible (without hacking), I'd do a second run with my 1st Shep. (she's the one I plan on importing to ME3 in the distant future :P)

anyhoo, since it's Legion related, I figured this si my best bet to get answers ;)

I say as long as its game or geth/robot related your good.

I think that Legion will dance if you just stand there for awhile.

Also *Sopleir free(I think)* For every upgrade to your ship you dont have, a random person dies, loyalty also kills people, and chose carefully. Scaning planets dosnt count as missons. All your sub-queasts any the likes can be done after the Omeage realay.

I knew about the loyalty quests and upgrades, always nervous leaving sidequests lying around though (in any game). Guess I'll leave them til after omega next run for a bit more questing with Legion time...

I suppose I haven't been patient enough with the dancing... going to park my bumm in that AI core til I see some moves if I have to stand there all day! LOL

"If you don't start dancing, I swear I'll turn this ship around!" :P

Edit: By "knew about the loyalty/upgrades" I meant that I knew they were going to be significant in some way, obviously I didn't know for what until the end... well I had 100% survival, so actually I didn't know for what until my bf played and had deaths occur :P

Remember that drawing of Legion I posted a while back? I have yet to color it but should I post it as it is now?

Sure, I think it's really good... you can always post, color and post anew... Actually it might be cool to have both versions out and about.

Well, there was one thing, but it was on my cat's (I like to call him "Sir mouse-button-pusher") playthrough LOL...: I was on the Normandy picking my first specialist and I was going through them reading the exerps just to see what it said. I was on Thane and apparently had my mouse pointer at an inoppertune spot while I was reading... cat jumped up and landed on the mouse, which selected Thane and there was no "Woah wait go back" option.

It was not who I wanted to pick and I didn't think he could do it (crawl through vent sure, but the door... no), but I'd have had to reload from before the romance scene/cutscene etc., so I decided to give it a go just in case I was being too paranoid about "picking the right person". When death occured I was like "hah! I knew it!", then I ****ed out my cat... again :P... then I reloaded and had Tali do it. I discovered later that I was close to having an actual "my bad" death occur, though, because I almost picked the wrong person for another position... I was undecided between 2, but by sheer 50/50 luck I picked the right one.
I assumed your choices would make a difference, but the effects of the loyalty/upgrade stuff were not clear to me until later on the internet.

Well for each positon, I belive there are two people who can do it.

*Sporlier??*

Vents- Tali, Legion (I have him in my squad Image IPB)
2nd team- Garrus, Miranda, Jacob
Sheild- Samara/Matrin(or what ever, her daughter) and I heard Jack, havent tested this
2nd team- same as before
Esscorte- any loyal, most chose Mordin for his tendancy to die randomly before the last boss, and this ensurse living

Your team is up to you.

Deaths (from my experiance)
1 wrong on first part, Tech dies, two wrong, Tech  and a squady?
1 wrong on the second part, wrong leader, they die, wrong Bioctic, they die (loalty may/not affect if a squady is also killed)
Ending, any non-loyal people will die, and from what I have heard sometimes people randomly drop dead to.

That's pretty much right, I used Jack as my biotic so yes, Jack can do it successfully too.
I replayed it to see what would happen with multiple wrong choices: In the first mission wrong vent person gets wrong vent person killed, wrong team 2 leader gets vent person killed regardless of if they're right or wrong and both wrong still only gets the vent person killed (at least if everyone is loyal, i did not try it without loyalty, so I cannot say if more than 1 dies then).
Wrong team 2 leader for next part gets team 2 leader killed, wrong biotic gets a random person from Shep's group killed.
Non-loyal taking the crew back to ship dies. Non-loyals die in the endgame.

Nobody drops dead randomly, though (except the party member who gets killed if you pick the wrong biotic). Deaths prior to the base are upgrade related while deaths in the base are loyalty & choice related (again with the exception of the poor sod who pays the price for picking the wrong biotic)

I can't really say anything about loyal Mordin still tending to die in the end, I have used him to send crew back and I have also kept him behind to *cough* "hold the line", but I never had him die... this may of course depend on how many people you have left to stand with him, when I tried it I had a full squad. I have seen it said a lot on the internet, though (that he dies easily in the end regardless of loyalty), so I assume people have experienced this even if I have not.

If you want to see the worst Shep. ever... or what happens if you don't do any upgrading, loyalty missions and pick pretty much all the wrong people:
*shows the complete endgame though so don't watch if you don't want spoiler stuff!*

*looks around* Seems that youtube vid shocked everyone into a stupor... It's okay, really, you have it in your power to prevent such horror. Really, your Shep. can be better than Mr.Clean/Locke-minus-the-uber clone Shep. *passes out pieces of N7 armor to repair the broken hearts*

I could not get Mordin to stay alive in the squad holding the line at all.. Regardless of the fact that he was loyal and I had all upgrades pertaining to him?  He was the only one who would die? Finally had to use him to escort the crew back instead of Zaeed, which ended up working.

used
vent- legion
2nd team-Miranda
Shield -Samara/ and Morinth
hold line team- Garrus
Crew escort- Mordin, if anyone else goes Mordin dies while holding the line for sme reason.

I also tried a death mission... Though I could not get Shepard to die?  I had no loyalty with any crew, didn't have ships crew to save.  Had no up grades (exept the canons, which I did by accident).  In the end Legion lived thus Shepard lived... go figure.  It takes work to die, the whole "If you survive" is a bit over played.

Question- If you don't upgrade the ships canons do you not have the ability to destroy the collectors ship??

Hm, I can't remember what setup I had when Mordin survived holding the line... Usually I have Tali go through the vent, Garrus leading my fire teams, Jack doing the biotic shield, but I always take Garrus with me at the last battle. I will admit that I usually send Mordin back with the crew, but on one run I sent Samara back (can't remember why), but they still all lived. Might have just gotten lucky. In any case, best bet is probably just sending Mordin with the crew unless you plan to use him in the boss fight.

I've always done the upgrades, so I don't know what would happen if you don't have the guns upgraded. I didn't really notice a difference in the "all die" vid. and I'm fairly sure he had none of the upgrades... Maybe one more person dies en route? I basically only messed with loyalty and the stuff you can do wrong/right in the base. I'm suprised anyone made it through without loyalty, though. Maybe you got lucky (or I got unlucky when trying to test it out).

But yeah, it does seem like you really really have to try (or be playing Shepard the not-quite-as-intelligent-as-(s)he-used-to-be) to manage to kill off everyone. which is good, imo, as Shep. *is* supposed to be an uber hero LOL

Vent- Legion, Tali
2nd team- Garrus, Miranda, Jacob
Biotic- Sammara, Jack
2nd team- Garrus, Sammara, Jacob
Escorte- Mordin

Thats all the good combos.

I think yuo would destroy the ship, it would just take longer, and youed get shot one more time and lose someone. I too have always upgraded the cannons, I've had all but cannons unupgraded too....

Though legion arrived late in my playthroughs, every bit of his dialog amused and interested me. It is SO great to see that the geth aren't just mindless slaves to the reapers, and that they've evolved beyond their reliance on massive numbers to be intelligent (well technically they're still massive numbers, but contained in one "platform").

I'm tempted to do a playthrough specifically aimed at having legion for every mission, just so I can see every last bit of dialog he offers.

Tali shoots Legion...

Legion: "Allied fire! Taking cover! Requesting assistance Shepard-Commander!"

Heh, Legion's great. I won't side with Geth however, only possibility of peace is if Geth let Quarians back on the homeworld. Either way, I would appreciate his appearance in ME3

Legion arrives late in the game for sure but his late arrival played a crucial role in my game and I was thankful to BW for their timing.

See, I played ME1, then moved on. When I started playing ME2, I remembered very little of what happened in the previous game. Here comes Legion, reminding me all about the Reaper technology, how organics used it without understanding it and thus, developing in the way Reapers wanted etc. Before that conversation, keeping the base was not even a question. This however, reminded me not what's right or wrong but the path Bioware was setting for the general plot.

Legion is (are?) one of my faves and I fully support him/it/them in ME3. Not as a squadie maybe because he has much more important things to do but as an ally whom we stay in touch with - not just through messages please, actual 'in touch' like visiting Geth space with Legion or something. Actually seeing/talking to him because he has so many interesting things to say.

Legion for a LI in ME3!!!;)

Heheh - I kid.. maybe.

I have a question kind of regarding Legion - I'm doing another playthrough and am getting near the end - just have Legion's loyalty to do before getting tossed on the suicide mission. I don't remember how it works, since it's been a little while since I hit end game last, but I plan, as usual, to send Legion through the vents as my tech, and don't plan to have him as one of the 2 in my personal squad. So, my question is whether I will have the chance to add the remaining points to his newly opened loyalty power even though I won't be actively using him. I'm trying to remember if you get to do this as you assign the positions to everyone but I don't quite remember. And if so, can you also add remaining points to other unused squad members? I have Tali loyal too but haven't had the chance to add any points to her Energy Drain yet.

I guess it doesn't really matter since I'm not "actively" using either Legion or Tali (probably won't have Tali assigned to any special position, nor in my personal crew), and their loyalty powers don't necessarily stack toward their survival I don't think. I could use Tali on Legion's loyalty mission and get her all set I guess, but I was hoping to bring Miranda for some crazy Warp and Overload action, or alternately a crew mate with a squad ammo power. Garrus is actually my favorite and my love interest, so maybe I'll take him out on this one last hurrah (before our other last hurrah LOL), since he's got Overload and squad AP ammo.

That being said though, I did save Tali's loyalty mission for last (or next to last, before Legion's) so I could bring Legion this time and it was an absolute blast! The special dialogues that opened up with the other Quarians on the Flotilla were just awesome, and even though you'd think having both Legion's and Tali's AI Hacking and Combat Drone to be really redundant, it turned out to be an absolute hoot. It was probably the most entertaining mission I've experienced across both ME1 and 2 thanks to those two. I basically sat back and tossed out an Overload here and there to strip down some sheilds (Playing as a Sentinel), but mostly watched all the Geth have an all out comedic mecha-battle with each other while Legion and Tali Area AI hacked them over and over again. Having Legion's Explosive Drone and Tali's Attack Drone (who she treats like a pet LOL) join the mix was just absolute perfection. I swear that when you AI Hack a Geth Hunter, they hesitate for a moment trying to decide who they want to hunt :P
