I'm going to attempt to revive the thread, which has died in the past few hours.
Legion slapped a new thermal clip into his widow rifle, his latest target falling lifeless across the catwalk. The husks were still coming, and there didn't seem to be any sign of them stopping. The ship was swarming with them, and the other team still hadn't found the reaper device which was responsible for this.
Legion brought his rifle back around the corner, firing another shot through a husk which was charging toward them. A sickly green liquid sprayed from the back of the husk as it fell to the ground, coating the others behind it in a layer of green. Legion looked a few feet to his left, where Garrus was firing down the other direction.
This was not an ideal situation. They had been trapped in a small control room, with a catwalk on either side, suspended nearly 50 feet in the air above the ship's port cargo bay. Garrus and Legion were attempting to hold off the oncoming waves of husks, while Charla searched the ship's logs for any sign of the reaper technology which was on the ship.
Legion looked back down the catwalk, activating his combat drone behind a group of oncoming husks. As they became distracted he dropped them with precise fire from his widow. "Contact eliminated." Legion stated as he turned to push in a new thermal clip.
"I'm running out of clips here. Charla, did you find anything?" Garrus asked as he continued to fire at the oncoming husks.
"No, I don't see anything about advanced technology or anything in here. Not even in the captain's logs." Charla responded as she continued to look through the logs.
Legion continued to fire down the catwalk, the husks were starting to come in larger groups. "Heavy weapon approaching." Legion stated as a scion rounded the corner at the other end of the catwalk.
"****, are you kidding me?" Garrus yelled as he pulled out his vindicator battle rifle, his mantis out of ammo.
"Just hold them off a little longer, I'm on the last log." Charla said, her voice sounding worried.
Legion shifted his attention to the oncoming scion, trying to drop it before it was within firing range. He fired 3 shots from his widow into the scion's head, but it still kept coming. The scion stopped about 30 feet away from the room, bringing its cannon up to fire. "Incoming projectile." Legion shouted as he pulled back around the corner. Garrus did the same, watching as a bright blue mass launched through the room.
"****! Kill that thing." Garrus yelled, peeking around the corner to fire on the husks coming from his side.
"Got it! The captain's log says they placed a piece of unknown technology in the starboard cargo bay." Charla shouted, running to cover in the doorway beside Legion.
"Affirmative, recommend immediate movement." Legion stated. Still in cover to stay out of the scion's firing line.
Garrus took down the last husk on his side. "Alright, my side is clear, let's go."
Charla turned and followed Garrus out, followed by Legion, who walked backwards, firing at the oncoming scion. As they made it across the catwalk, Garrus opened the door on the far side. "Come on, get in here!" Garrus yelled, waving the others in.
Charla got through the door, turning around the corner to the hall on the right. Legion backed into the doorway, still firing. Garrus hit the control for the door to close just as a flash erupted from the scion's cannon.
"No!" Charla yelled, running forward, kneeling before Legion as he fell to the ground, his right leg missing from the shin down.
