I played through a lot of the game, clocked in 16 hours.  I thought it was pretty short, what about you guys?  Times, thoughts, ect.  Opinons on game welcome!

Did you play it nonstop? If you did that's why it seemed short.

Try doing all the missions instead of racing through the main mission. I could probably beat the collectors in like 5 hours, 10 on insanity, But you'd be skipping a ton of content.

yes, the game itself was something like 8 hours. the scanning, wallsafe hacking, door bypassing, etc etc took up most of the play-time.

The main campaign is short, yes.

It's the little things that make it worthwhile. like side-quests, scanning, and exploring the galaxy.

The only way I can see anyone beating the game in 16 hours is to do only the story missions, without doing any of the sidequests, talking to anyone, looking at the codex, researching upgrades, etc. I clocked in at close to 40, I think.

Thanks for the sarcasm, but no.  I have a lot more to focus on during my days rather than Mass Effect, I'm only in highschool =P

It took me more than thirty hours my first time through on Veteran, contrasted with seventeen on my first ME1 playthrough. However, my playthrough doing every quest on Insanity (skipping through numerous conversations, however) in ME2 settled in at just under thirty hours, contrasted with 25-30 hours for my 100% complete ME1 playthroughs.

No no I did all that, did just about all character missions etc.  Researched a lot, even did tedious scanning for long moments.  Mass Effect just seemed longer than ME2

32 hours first play and 26 the second can't see anyone getting under 20 not skipping the amazing story/character scenes aswell as completing loyalty and n7 quests

It's about the same length as the first one.

first playthrough took me 36 hours. The second took me around 20 something and I did do all quests.

The game is awesome, just much shorter than i would have expected. The whole 2 disc thing still confuses me. Dragon Age is supposed to be horrific in length and thats all on one disc, is it not?

Me thinks a lot of possible content was not included for the sake of DLC.

if you finished in 16 hours i can guarantee more than a few of your squad died.

i did all squad missions, squad loyalty missions, and side missions, and finished in 46 hours.

probably less than 1 hour overall of scanning planets.

i did everything
I scanned every major planet (good and rich, and sometimes moderates and poors) and took a look at the rest

the game was only about 24 hours for me, it was very short

ME1 with doing everything was about 26

(both on insane)

If you clocked 16 hours you either;

• Are lying.

• Skipped a crapload of dialogue.

• Didn't do any sidequests.

• Virtually ignored your entire crew.

• Didn't do any character missions.

• Played on the easiest difficulty.

I listen to all the dialogues, but if I die and I have to listen to the same speech again, then I skip

and insanity is easy as hell

pretty sure he never said that. the bioware line from the beginning was that it depends on what you do. you can breeze through it quickly, in which case your squad will likely die... or you can take your time, in which case it's the same length as ME1.

scratch the last one. i played on casual my first playthrough and died only 1 or 2 times, and clocked in at 46 hours.

if you do all the story elements, side missions, and dialogue, it's impossible to finish in 16 hours on any difficulty.

hell, there's probably more than 16 hours of dialogue in the game regardless of mission length.
