This is not a PC only problem, I'm the 360 and I experience this glitch as well.



And guess what... I'm a soldier specced into Shock trooper... So this definitely causes it. Looks like I'll be respeccing into commando even though I like trooper better...

Its not a cause for alarm, you can finish the game even if you hear this a lot.

I was wondering why I was hearing a heartbeat sound during certain loading sequences; My character didn't change classes (still soldier).

I own ME2 for both PC and 360, I am not sure if I have had this problem on the PC yet, but I know that is defiantly an occurrence on the 360. However, I noticed that it was from the loading sequence from the beginning. One with a heartbeat monitor before you are awoken on Project Lazarus when you are selecting stats, appearance etc..

Sorry for the bump, but it's happening on my 360 too. Started on my 2nd playthrough, since very early on---maybe as early as "waking up".

Happens when I become a shock trooper. Reassigning points fixed the heartbeat problem for me.

No more shock trooper until next patch then

I hate to throw in another monkey wrench, but it might not be just soldier and/or shock trooper classes that cause this. I've had this happen in adept, vanguard, and soldier classes, and their subsequent evolved classes. Each time, the heartbeat showed up during a different part of the game, though mostly in the beginning or middle. Had to suffer through the heartbeat in character making, as some of  you mentioned, and during the section where you play as Joker.

I've had the heartbeat happen on my lappy (asus g50vtx1, standard specs) and desktop (quad 9550, 8gb ram, gtx260, soundblaster x-fi, win7 64bit). Both were using the Steam version of the game, with the latest patches and DLC. Even with patch 1.1 the problem still happens. Is there a new patch or mod to fix this issue yet, or is bioware still scratching its head?

I think the heartbeat only occurs once Shepard's hitpoints increase beyond a certain value. I've tested it with Collector armour, Life Support Webbing, and N7 helmet. Using them, I can turn the heartbeat on and off at will. Can anyone confirm?
