So I am on my second playthrough as a Dalish rouge and I have collected all four allies and brought Arl Eamon back up to health. In my first playthrough the camp ambush occured before I had finished these events. Yet now I can't seem to get the event to occur no matter what I try. I have travelled back and forth across the world map so much that the only random event I am running into is with that merchant.

Does anybody know how to trigger the camp attack? Does it happen very late in the game if your a Dalish elf?

I'm not sure if I can help you. But the Camp attack is very cool as a Dalish.

You may have a lot of "required" random attacks "in que" as it were. If you do, then often the camp attack won't trigger correctly. Also I have found that if you didn't get it to trigger correctly prior to the Landsmeet, sometimes it won't. The correct trigger for the camp attack is, "Completed Allies Quest equal to or greater than three". However, it's not given special priority (and it probably should be).

Hmm, I reloaded to a save before I called the landsmeet and I still can't get the event to trigger. Is it supposed to happen when traveling along the world map like any other random encounter?



Perhaps it is triggered by leaving a major area after gaining an allied army and immediately going to another area rather than going to camp like I usually do?

I think that's it.  If you go directly to camp after getting the third ally, you don't trigger the camp attack, ever.  You have to try to travel to another location after getting the third ally.

Try that.

Great... I don't have a save before I collected my third ally. What about the fourth who in my game was the Army of Redcliffe?

Nevermind, I found a save that did work. It was right after I killed the demon bothering conner. Shame I made so much progress after that however.

I went through the games many times and always got the attack. I'm doing the game as an elven mage this time. I will submit something if I get the attack.



Meanwhile, I got some funny dialog I had not heard previously. You have to be close to Morrigan, I guess. After the attack is over, she says: "What are they going to send next ? Darkspawn tax collectors?"

I got this scene right after leaving Orzammar, which was my 3rd ally. I was actually trying to do something else (I didn't go straight to camp), and I got the scene. Perhaps the problem is if you actually pick the camp rather than another destination, like previously mentioned?

This is my 2nd playthough and i crash when i get this encounter right after the dream, I have several mods on help me!!!

i am mage human.after lothering, wardons keep,hornluth,redcliff,tower,ashes,elvs.. then i have arcane warrer igo on dragon hunt starting with flemeth i was going mountan temple but got kick into camp for the attack
