Is there a point to the encounters with the Revenants in the Brecian forest? My codex mentions that I've killed numbers four and five (out of 6, apparently), but the only other one I can find is one near the mad hermit, and he comes along with 5 yellow skeletons, and they all super-gank me. (Was a few levels ago though, I could probably go back by now.)

Also, does anyone know what the deal is with that slate you find, that describes some form of ritual you have to do? Drink something, sprinkle something, etc?

Cant help much with the Revenants. I found 2 or 3 in the Ruins and the super group you mentioned, thats bout it.



As for the ritual, it's a mini-quest inside of the werewolf ruins. Theres a room a little before the Witherfang room with a fountain in the middle of the room and an altar in a wall cubby nearby.



You get a piece of the Juggernaut Massive Armor set once you open the door and defeat whats within.

Anyone else know about those Revenants?

I killed three and it said there was one left, but I never found it before I went on to finish the game. Maybe next playthrough. Anyways, it seemed like they dropped a plate armor set that I didn't really need.



They ganked me the first time i tried it so I just finished up most of the rest of the game first, then came back, and they were cake.

If you are talking about 4 armor pieces that come from skeletons after you disturbe the tomb stones, then:

1. In the first forest area just below the "acorn" quest part

2. Above the hermit in the second area.

3. Just outside the warewolf ruins

4. Behind closed doors in the ruins (place where you have to do elf ritual).

There are also revenants around the world in phlyacteries. I dunno what you get for killing all six. The tombstone undead are for a different armor set side quest.
