If you can get by the huge memory leak that can cause freeze and loot lag, the broken quests that you can spend several hours to figure out before you understand that they are broken, the audio glitches in dialogues, the low damage you do with a dexterity built rogue due to the dexterity bug, the suddenly corruption to your saves because you sold to many items to one merchant, floating and stucked animations on characters, and not to mention the billions of other bugs on the expansion pack, then sir, you got a high tolerance to pain and frustration.

considering none of that ever happened to me i  have no clue what you are talking about

I am truly getting sick of people like you. Here's a link to a pretty comprehensive bug list for the 360.

Just answer me one question. How is posting "I never noticed any bugs" helpful to this discussion at all?

Ignore him...he's a simpleton.

To everyone else...time to move on.  DA:O was an average game at best, and that's without the massive bugs.  Bioware has taken a steaming crap on their console fans, and I don't plan on jumping back on the bandwagon when they inevitably put out some halfassed, overdue fix.

I ran into the same problem with Valve and their Orange Box.....the Team Fortress 2 game has gotten ZERO console love/support from Valve, while the PC drones get constant free updates (and of course, troll the 360 threads telling us to buy a pc). The only difference is, Valve's TF2 is a phenominal game, with neverending replay value.   This cannot be said of DA:O, with it's snore-inducing cliche-ridden story and Heretic 2 graphics.

Wait for Witcher 2 to come out on 360......use DA:O to keep your beer from ruining your coffee table.

I know theres a lot of bugs and I haven't read the whole thread but I just wanted to mention (since the OP was dissapointed in rogue) that the lethality talent of the rogues allows you to use cunning instead of strength and cunning is nice for a rogue.

With 30 (or 36 and evasion) dex and some of the gear or talents such as keen defense. Not to mention combat stealth and a tank and cc mages. You can survive without dexterity and cunning rogues out damage dex ones..

Dragon Age had some minor bugs but Dragon Age: Awakenings is the one that sucked completely. If you want a TRUE bugged game, go and play Fable II that game is the worst and most unfinished game ever to made in the history of the universe.

Not sure if it has been mentioned in these pages of idiotic console vs. PC arguments, but doesn't Microsoft make developers pay to release a patch? That is likely the reason there is lacking support on the Xbox.

On PC they just release it into the wild and don't pay a dime, and even then the costs of making the patch and testing it often make long-term support impossible.

I doubt they have to pay to release an update, but it does have to be approved and checked by Microsoft before it's released. Thus, it tends to take much longer for the update to be released compared to PC.  At least that is the way that I understand it.

They should've had seperate releases instead of trying to release it across all platforms at once. That way the console versions could've gotten some more much needed testing and QA, I'd gladly wait a few extra months for a game that works, rather than get it a few months earlier filled with bugs. I'm not sure if they have to pay to release patches, but anything they release through xbl has to be checked by microsoft,(which isn't always a fast process) which has me worried about this new patch they are working on. I don't even think they're finished working on all the fixes yet, so once that is finally done we'll have to wait for it to go through MS. Hopefully we'll see it before christmas.....

i do remember reading that microsoft charges like $5 dollars per patch if i remember i think this is why SE decided against releasing FF14 for the 360

You do have to hand it to Bioware they're working on quite a few projects:

-Star wars the old republic

-Mass effect 3

-Dragon age 2

-Pooping out dlc left right and center for DA:O and ME2

I do agree though I'm putting of playing Rogue until the Dex bug is fixed which is a real shame since it's my favorite class. Patience is the answer my friends and remember swooping is bad :)

why is it that pc users are able to bring in their characters full customize appearance and consoles can't on their player's profile? I don't understand why we shouldn't be able to as well.

Sadly all those are the reasons that this game has gotten next to nothing for support and patches in the last nine months. Their MMO will fail very quickly if they don't step up their game in terms of support, MMO players are much less forgiving about long waits for bug fixes. Will be nice if dex is fixed for bows as well, all I've seen is daggers and can't seem to get an answer about the bows, which is very annoying seeing as how I've waited nine months to make my archer. I know that they're working on multiple games, but that's still not an excuse to ignore the glaring issues of one game. Each game has its own team working on it. I met the Bioware team that was working on TOR at E3, and they said they have nothing to do with the other games. It's obvious they rather get DLC (that doesn't seem to work either) instead of fixing issues that have been plaguing the game since launch.

I refuse to buy any of the new DLC because of their lack of support. The only DLC I bought was Warden's Keep so far, and even that had some issues that aren't fixed. It's sad because I really respect Bioware as a developer.

Of course that is only against targets that can be flanked/backstabbed. In any other situation you will miss horribly due to a low attack score. This also doesn't account for levels 1 through 7...where you cannot possibly have the lethality talent(this is a huge issue on Nightmare difficulty). Of course, you can get away with nearly anything if your tank is unkillable....that still kind of makes your PC a gimp though, doesn't it?

Cunning rogue will outdamage dex sure, but not as a pure archer where bows are 50/50 str(cun with lethality) and dex. The fact that a pure archer is gimped because of the dex bug, and therefore mainly a useless build really annoys me, espeially when pc had the fix for dex within a few weeks, and for some unknown reason we never saw that for consoles. In many cases perhaps a cunning rogue is better than a dex rogue, but I've already made two cunning rogues and really want a dex rogue to use for my archer. Still can't even find out if bows will be fixed with the patch though so I don't know....
