I don't know about that. I first played a few male characters (being male myself) but am now playing several female characters and there are some really funny things you can only do as a female. For example Cullen in the mages origin is hilarious when you flirt with him and Alistairs romance is most likely the most romantic in the game. I loved the Morrigan romance and it was very fitting to her, very cute how she struggled with every sign of affection... Leliana's romance is okay but Alistair seemed like the most romantic one.

The only thing I noticed so far that female characters have less chance for is to flirt and get kissed by non-companion NPC's. Male players have that blonde girl in Redcliffe they can steal a kiss from for saving her brother, they have Bella and there are a few more. For females I think there are lot less of these and almost always have a male counterpart.

LAME. I might skip buying this. At least ME2 has been fantastic so far.

I wonder how much exp we actually stacked up doing DLC's... it can not be "that much" maybe one full level or 2? I also suppose it depends when in the game you did them.. However, I can not see this being too far off the scales...

It's not the XP, it's the gear.  My characters are going to go from possessing endgame gear to facing the first battle with a plain longsword.  I'm a long way from a loot hound, but I like to keep what I pay for and keep what my characters earned.

I know and feel the pain as well. I kept tons of stuff in the storage chest. I think i can go back late game and gear up. It truly is a pain... and we did pay for the items.. It won't stop me from playing the expansion though. Maybe we'll luck out and they will have some nifty gear in the expansion for us.. I know it is not the same thing.

oh alistair is definatly the best romance option in my opinion but apart from him theres only zevran and hes too slimey for my taste but apart from 2 of the stories you dont have many kabbodle options its so not good

Playing a male character made my son hilarious because he heard me made some comments while on the game, as * cool a chick to kiss * or going to the Pearl

I am glad to see that even a man was able to enjoy it (it is very soft as far as romance)

Once you check it to import, it can take several hours to show up on the bioware network..

that is where it will show up.. Once you allow your game to upload it..

Oh! you also have to load the game.. from the main exe launcher.. not the console command one

page. But if everything in that post is true, and especially the
romance part and that damn dwarf, then no. I can't be bothered. The
information so far hasn't impressed me. No romances, no Leliana, Oghren is returning and there's a mage called Anders.

I guess I got too attached to the Origins team.

We can blame the developers for making Alistair so incredibly irresistible. That's the reason so many people are upset about this romance option not being available in Awakening. The prospect of having my PC spoken to by a robot-like NPC Alistair, having just a few canned remarks towards her, is just heartbreaking *sob*. Not having the ability to just 'kiss' him when you feel the need just does not satisfy my RPGing needs. Not to mention that Starfang and my hound will be gone as well.

Profile change picture is only if your picture was saved with no mod on! the one you get when to create a new toon

and when I said it would not xfered I ment in awakening on the faq they warn you

lol, yeah the Pearl is definately funny... Its especially funny if you're romancing Morrigan and she's with you and you try to talk Isabela into going below deck... Morrigan being kinda the open minded one when it comes to sex really shows her jealous nature then!

Well I'm into girls IRL so Morrigan was my favorite romance because I had some "oddly happy feelings" with her and the romance with was quite cute and pretty romantic from a certain point of view and very fitting to her character.

Alistair's romance however was more romantic from a standard point of view. Its more like a movie romance... He stumbles over words, gives you a rose etc. So yeah I did (well character is still not at the end so DO) enjoy it! 
I'm a big softie when it comes to romances I guess, I'm also a sucker for a good romantic comedy!

The page seems to be quirky atm..  I am feeling a bit inclined to give this expansion the benifit of the doubt.. I am just to curious not to play it. However, I also am too attached to my main characters and companions..It could be a good thing to expand though?  "shrugs"  I am not trying to be the cheerleader for the expansion. I am also unhappy with many aspects..  However....  I am going to play none the less...

Oh.... Well.

click on profile to the left..

then down to "change profile picture"

You should see a menu there,, there is a drop-down tabs to chose using  "General user portraits" or " Dragon Age Origins PC

Click on the selected pic. and then the blue tab below  "Change profile Photo"

Liso if I right click on your name I get blocked while if you do it on shedevil you have acces to her "modified" picture and I guess this is not inserted same way !
