I went Direct2Drive.. got the special release with all the DLC's aside from RtO of course.  I really like D2D.. they have been good thus far. I have several games from them

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer hard copies of my games in their original packaging. I have a few D2D games, and while I never had any trouble downloading or installing them, I now wish I'd bought the box copies. :(

I see your point. I just end up losing the disk. or it gets scratched. etc....  I have a HD that holds all my downloads!  So I call it my box set...  :)

It has been said we will see Morrigan again. I assume that it will be in DA2 though. That story will surely be more epic than an expansion

Yeah I heard that too... *sigh* Morrigan... Image IPBImage IPB

back on topic hmmmmmm thinking.......... thinking.............. so who intends to buy awakening ?

I plan on buying it, I wanted to pre-order it from Play.com but the site from which I bought the digital deluxe edition replied to my DRM question with a generic standard answer that just listed all the DRMs they employed instead of this particular game, so that didn't really make it very clear whether or not I could use the retail boxed edition of Awakening with the digital deluxe edition.

I've purchased several Mac titles from D2D as well, very pleased with them. They also have excellent customer support.

Know what you mean I also prefer boxed, however I usually order from Play.com and since I am in the Netherlands it takes at least 7 days for the game to arrive so if I want to play something immediately... plus with Dragon Age the digital deluxe edition was only available as download (which makes sense considering the name). :)

Nah, Gamersgate is the best. Shop enough with them and you can start getting some free or really cheap new games. I'm going to spend about $5 on Awakening.

They're often great for saving money at least here in Europe! :) Often buy games there half the price they are in the local shops! :)

I'm pretty careful with my games, but lost disks and scratches can and do happen. Really, there's distinct advantages and disadvantages to both on the consumer end of things. Really, it's a matter of personal preference.

 I don't have kids to worry about though, so my disks are safe from everything except forgetful younger brothers who borrow games and then don't return them until he finds them MONTHS later on his bedroom floor outside of their cases. He had to buy me a new copy of NWN. <_<
