Me neither. Im going to hang out for spoilers on a few things like Alistair/Anora roles - your origin choices made here and romance fates/plans if any, main character fate. DLC still tastes bad. no more dlc.
Indeed I agree on this, no more DLC I think, can't say I lost out totally, some of the story was worth it, but I did kinda assume I would be able to carry DLC items forward just like items in the main game (for instance, The Shivering Isles Expansion for Oblivion didn't have this issue you could take other DLC items, such as Knights of the Nine stuff, in and out of the Shivering Isles and items from there to the main game areas)

Two Words. Electronic Arts.. nuff said. I refuse to believe Bioware would have ever done this..

It was perfect for my city elf, now shes lost it.. Chevalier's which she also has in a full set, though similar design just isnt same and its bugged nerfed willpower surpose to grant +3 will, +3 con, have doubts this will be fixed anytime soon like so many of dwarven subquest broken rewards or ancient elven boots(PC). :/
I wont use mods. This isnt an unsupported game of 10+ years old (baldurs gate), Bioware should fix their own game not the community its more bad form.

Ok so I didn't read through all 32 pages of comments to see if anyone was taking this answer the way that I had taken it, but...
It DOES say FOR COMPANIONS then lists Alistair, Wynne and Loghain. I was under the impression that Oghren would be the only playable character returning, and the rest would be NPC's. So what does that mean ? We get to play those characters at some point in the game ? Maybe they're a part of your party for only a portion of the expansion where as Oghren will be in your party throughout the whole thing.
Any thoughts ?

Besides Oghren who plays a large role in Awakening, there are cameos and returning characters. For companions you'll potentially meet Loghain, Wynne, and Alistair depending on your decisions in Origins. In regards to NPCs, Master Wade and Herren reprise their roles, with Wade offering to make even more fantastical goods if the player brings his list of ingredients. Loghain's daughter, Anora, may also appear in Awakening depending on your choices in Origins. From David Gaider's novel "The Calling" - both the Architect and Utha are present in Awakening.

Okay.. I'll leave after this.. that seems to leave the illusion we may get one of those other characters for a short time at some point in the game depending on our ending choices. I fear banking on it since it is so vague at best..

Cameo appearances, but it could still mean Oghren isnt the choosen. Given trailers and FAQ aswell, it is almost 100 percent it is Oghren tho - only one will be playable in any case.

I believe that statement means as for (past) companions, we may see Alistair, Wynne and Logain as NPCs only. That is what I have read in the forums but you know, at this point anything is possible. We just will not know until we play the game or read the posts afterwards. I am just tired of posting my opinions on my disappointments. I'll just keep happily playing DAO (over and over) I guess and make the best of it until I hear what Awakening really has as far as options and storyline.
