Just curious as to how people feel about the endings. I got the one where I let Morrigan take my demon baby, and I convinced alistair and anoura to marry and of course it's left wide open for a sequel.

How did you manage to actually get them to go through with the marriage? I did the persuasion and it was all set, right up until she walked in whining in the landsmeet. Other then that I got the same stuff. I really want to know if someone managed to get Morrigan to stay.

I was playing as a rogue so my cunning was crazy high and I had max coercion so I just passed a series of persuade checks (though if you let alistair kill loghain it screws it up as Anoura won't marry her fathers killer)

Did you lose Alistair because Loghain lived and became a grey Warden? I did I wish I could get Loghain as a Grey Warden and also keep Alistair.

No I killed loghain personally and kept alistair, he was the main corner-stone of my party and plus I was really pissed at loghain for having spent most of the game trying to kill me.

I did pass all persuasion checks, but then they just started yelling at eachother. I suppose I messed the dialogue up at the landsmeet then >_<

If you don't personally kill Loghain then the two won't marry, because he killed her father and she can't forgive him. It could also be possible that if you let Allister go on about how you should kill her dad she won't marry him, I don't know.

I believe you also have to "harden" Alistair after doing his personal quest, by telling him that everyone is out for themselves. It's the only way he'll suffer Loghain to live, though he still won't be in the Grey Wardens with the man.

So, basically, Alistairs whining made my plans for Fereldan dominion fail? He is such a little girl.
And the unavoidable OMG MR GAIDER LET ME CARRY YOUR CHILD.
Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. I will love this game a long time!

Love this game, but was pretty disappointed in the ending. I guess for some decisions it would be a moderate sense of closure while keeping it open for a sequel, but for my particular choices it was very dissatisfying. I mean, the world turned out alright (besides orzammar), but I just wasn't pleased with anything regarding how things turned out for my character. Having your romantic interest run off with your old god baby isn't a very endearing experience.
I did realize that there's another option for an ending that I hadn't considered yet with letting Loghain live, and am holding out hope that it will be somewhat more agreeable this run through. Still not sure about it though, seeing as I have to figure out how to do it without making Alistair end his life in misery, but after reading David's post I'll hold out some hope that it'll be something more satisfying. Still probably won't turn out very well with Morrigan, but if it were perfect it wouldn't be believable anyways.
Then again, that the game made me care this much about how everything turns out does speak well of it, and the storytelling and character building is all very, very good, so even if it doesn't turn out ideally it's still worth every bit I paid for it and minute I'll spend playing it.

I killed Loghain.
I sent Morrigan off even though I was romancing her(no way I am letting her raise a god to do her bidding).
I convinced Alistair and Anora to marry. (max coercions skill)
Then, in the final battle, I was tempted to die for the cause, but just could not go through with it, so I ended up letting Alistair play the Hero king, which made him die happy.
Then, I accepted a Chancellor ship under Queen Anora and lived happily ever after in the city.
