Wow... Meh, why the hell not? If you're busy staring at it during cutscenes, that's you're problem. Sadly, the same can't be said for what this represents. ME2's replacement of squaddie armour with spandex and unending asset-cam montages (I'm looking at you, Miranda loyalty quest) has shown us that sexuality is slowly invading everything.
Alright, Miranda's got a great ass. Fine, I'll say it, an utterly epic, beautiful, perfect ass. But, for the love of God, get it out of my face. That's why we have scopes on snipers, not why we have cutscenes.
Seriously, this happened with Code Geass too. In 2006, they have a couple of shower scenes, by season 2 in 08 you've got a skimpy bunny suit by episode 1.

Come on even you must see how ludicrus some of your comments are. I will just paraphrase you:
"Let the male Shepards have an armored version of Jacob, so we don't feel fthreatened that he will thrust his crotch into our face. And let the females have a more acceptable version of Miranda unless Bioware wants you to have some kind of hot lesbian relationship, then yeah she can wear the spandex"

No thats not exactly what you said but thats pretty much the context I'm getting out of it.

And you seem to only be thinking about you. So you want Bioware to do extra code so you don't have to see Jacob in a tight fitting uniform? So what about the homosexual male members of the community that might find Jacob attractive? Should there be yet another toggle so they can see Jacob in all his 'glory'?

Your asking for a whole lot and disregarding a large number of players because you feel uncomfortable about a pixilated computer animated male in a tight outfit. A character who can't even be romanced by a male?

Your insecurity, double standards, and discomfort with one character who is fan service for a lot of players (not just females, is kind of telling. And unless you have some REALLY weird porn mod, I serously doubt that Jacob is thrusting his crotch in your face... unless of course your projecting your own subconcious wishes.
If your not mature enough to just get over the fact that a character has crotch bulge then you have bigger issues than Mass Effect 2.

Because you are starting to remind me of those guys in highschool that wore underwear or shorts into the shower and closed their eyes the entire time.

At this point all I can say is that your fighting this so hard its almost a case of:

Why does everything have to turn into psychoanalysis? The OP was simply stating his observation that Jacob's bulg is pretty big, which it is. It's really big - like disproportionately big.

All joking aside, the only reason this bothers me is because I actually see this a lot. This weird fear, insecurity about African American males. And maybe thats not the reason you guys have a problem with this but the fact that your looking at his crotch and saying its to big..... thats just weird to me.

In the future people wear alot of spandex, or just plain really tight clothes. On the ship, this is fine. But when out on missions the fact that my crew doesn't have some high tech body armor to help protect them just seems daft.



I understand is is probably too labor intensive to have each crew member get some armor, but it still seems daft.

I don't hold a double standard. I was advocating a compromise. If you play as a male Shepard, Jacob wears armor, if you play as a female he keeps the spandex.

To make it fair they should have Miranda wearing something less tight for a female Shepard...unless they plan to have a lesbian Miranda/Shepard romance.

Dude are you serious? Just don't look. It isn't that hard. Miranda is usually around when Jacob is, just look at her perfectly sculpted behind instead.
