I know this is not a computer, nor game crashing related question, but it seemed to be the placed for support releated questions as well.

I have just landed on a planet, just to find out i have no chance in hell to defeat the 4 huge robots wandering around, i am not well enough equipped for this mission, yet, so i wanted to return to ship, but how to do that ?
If this is not possible, i have no idear what to do, beside trying to get my money back with some poor excuse that it's crashing my machine or something like that, why?, i bought the game yesterday, installed it this morning, and played about 6 hours, maybe more, and no, starting over is not an option.

The game autosaves, so haven't used the manual save.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Have you tried to activate the shuttle? Not sure if that's possible before the mission ends, though. Have you waited for the mechs to destroy all crates? Maybe that ends the mission. If both my guesses are wrong, you'll have to go through it. The robots are not that hard, if you set the game's difficulty to the lowest level. Crack their with shields with disruptor ammo or overload power and their armor with incendiary ammo or incinerate and warp power. You can also use cheats just this once ;-)

My best tip for ME2: save manually BEFORE every mission/planet you land on.

He's right - save before and after every mission.

The large mechs aren't all that hard - just use Bravenu's advice, and focus on headshots. Then keep your distance - the large mechs tend to explode after you blast their heads to pieces.

well, i didn't know what to find on that planet, so i came down with nothing, i only have ammo for the gun, i have not figured out how to buy ammo, yet.
Can't activate shuttle, and letting the crates getting destroyed does nothing, the best i can do is taking one mech down, and half the shield on another, and then we are all dead.

lowering the difficulty was a good idear, didn't know you could do that mid game, so far i've played on veteran, and they are very hard, when all you got is a potato gun, or atleast that's what it feels like.

It's my first mass effect game, so there is alot of stuff i don't know.

Ah, well you definitely don't want to play on Veteran until you get things lined out.

Ammo is replenished by picking up the little red or silver cylinders that enemies using heat-sink weapons (practically every firearm in the game) drop after they die - the mechs should drop them when they're eliminated.

I thought you were talking about the crate level - the less crates you lose, the more money you get in the end. Take one bot at a time and keep your distance, keep using the cover and you'll be fine.

It's situations like the large mechs on that mission that make me wonder what happened to the good ol' grenades from ME1. :-D

Er, ammo (thermal clips) are dropped by pretty much every enemy type that uses rifles or pistols. Heavy weapon ammo is picked up from blue-silverish crates as 'energy cells'.

Also: duck behind crates and low walls for cover, fall back once the mech gets too close and heal your squadmates once they fall.

You can find mods/cheats (and how to install and uninstall them) here: http://www.masseffec...es.com/mods.php (modified Coalesced.ini files)

Well, so far veteran has worked fine, and i did figure how to replenish ammo by picking up the red and silver thingies, but not how to buy, so you could restock if you where low, after a mission.

It was the crate level, and by lowering the difficulty i managed to save 12, not bad with a gun. :)
But that tip really saved my butt, and from now on i'll remember to save before every planet i am about to set my feet on.
But if that changing the difficulty mid game wasn't allowed, a situation like that really could ruin everything.

The thing is that mission wasn't intended for when you first start playing. You need to start leveling up and recruiting squad members. Do the missions to gain loyalty and scan many planets to gather resources. Make sure to upgrade what you can or prepare to face the consequences. Do not do the IFF mission till you have everyone upgraded and the ship upgraded unless you want to face the consequences.

Did just that. :)

just gathered resources from the systems, and upgraded 2x ship upgrades, 1x the guy in the lap, 3x weapons, 3x prototypes, and assigned the points to my team for further upgrades.

Should help.

Make sure everyone is loyal and get as many upgrades as you can. Take your time. When something important happens which I won't spoil I suggest you don't take much time in your response, otherwise prepare to face the consequences :D.

There is now way to buy ammo. You start each mission with full mags anyway, except for the heavy weapons.

ahh, okay, i just noticed the heavy had no ammo, so thought it was like that for all waepons, but i see what you mean, the smaller once seems full when i start a mission.
Getting the team loyal would take some time, right, because if either the red or the blue bar has to be full for that, then i'm far from it, i got like 1 cm on each side.

No, getting them loyal means completing their loyalty missions. Speak to ALL teammates after each mission, they will tell you eventually about some favour/mission you should do for them. The red and blue quarter circle indicate your paragon and renegade points.

ah, i see, i have been talking to them, getting their upgrades and so forth.

Don't know about jack tho, seems unstable, wonder if she'll screw me over later in the game, or actually become loyal.

Completing their loyalty missions will gain their loyalty. Always. But: sometimes you need very high paragon or renegade scores to charm/force loyalty if you don't play by their rules.

===SPOILERS FOLLOW===

On Zaeeds loyalty mission for example you have to choose between two different routes to go. If you don't go the one he wants, the mission technically fails, but with high paragon/renegade score, you can convince him to loyalty anyway.

There will also be conflicts among squadmates (Jack vs. Miranda and Legion vs. Tali) that occur after you completed the loyalty missions of both 'brawlers'. If you can't talk them around with high paragon/renegade score, you might loose someone's loyalty.

My advice: delay the IFF mission, and the loyalty mission of either one of the two 'pairs' as long as possible to gather lots of paragon or renegade points during N7 missions or assignements.
