 as the title says i have completed the game and have chosen to continue , however i have now completed all the quest and want to start a new game using my shepard. How do i do this?

Start a New Game --> Import ME2 Character --> choose a savegame file and Voila.

I chose to use my character again for another playthrough but when I got to the main menu and selected New Game, there was no Import ME2 Character

If you finished, it should be at the bottom right under import ME1 option.
