To be clear, even though I have the urge to watch him die, I won't be doing that, at least not initially. The comic says that he has no idea why Arl Howe purged the Couslands, and only that he thinks his father did so for some good reason. Well, wouldn't any kid think their dad can do no wrong and would have a good reason? For all we know, Nathan Howe's story could revolve around him finding out the truth about his dad and seeing that he had no good reason at all for doing what he did. Would seem like the classic tale of a son thinking their parents are the pinnacle of greatness and all that is good, only to find out they were completely wrong. Of course if it turns out that Nathan doesn't care why his dad did it, then he will be killed if possible! =P

I will give the kid that chance to redeem his family name. I hope he is smart enough to sieze the opportunity my PC is giving him.

Indeed; the players raging on him after all also have no idea if papa Cousland actually hadn't done something that warranted Howe's reaction, and just presume 'their dad' could do no wrong...

As I almost always play a dwarf, I couldn't really care less who or what he is. he comes after me and mine with a sword or poison, he is gonna die. Period.

He may THINK he knows how to play at nasty , but humans have NOTHING on dwarven politics.

Hm... the boy is dangerous. Not because of his skills. Because he's the actual heir of the arling. I'm sure, many nobles would prefer Howes back instead of our Arl Grey Warden-Commander.

I play most often as a Human Noble and I love my 'Dad'...  But it hasn't stopped me wondering what exactly it was 'Dear Bryce' brought back from Orlais, when he was mistaken for King Cailan by a drunk marquess... ;)

I'd be checking Gametrailers later today if I were you.

If I can find out when they're putting it up, I'll let you know.

He probably will turn out to be Cousland's BFF if you keep him in the party, and work the relationship. But I don't care, I just want to stab him in the neck.

He is definitely going to be one of my permanent companions for my mage. And my human noble will taste his blood

I don't know, I think it could be pretty satisfying to rub things in his face. If you play your cards right you're a hero, you could be married to the king/queen, Chancellor or Teryn/a of Gwaren and the Warden-Commander of Ferelden. Oh, and Highever has been restored to the Couslands. Meanwhile, his family has been stripped of their land and his father died like a coward in a basement.

How did he die like a coward?

I thought he was defiant to his last breath, unlike your mom .

Edit: The human nobles mom that is.

She died fighting, but you didn't see it. She says she'll kill everyone of the b*****ds to give her son the chance to get out, or something to that effect [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie]

He was defiant but he was also hiding, surrounded by guards and mages, and he refused a fair duel.
