 I don't understand: how is it possible that Nathaniel's grandfather was a Grey Warden? I thought they were exiled from Ferelden. Was his grandfather an abomination or a vampire or Avernus?

We're having fun speculating on We Alistair....there's the potential that his grandfather was one of the Wardens who returned to Ferelden when Maric let them back in, that would be 30 years ago. There's the even more fun speculation that this grandfather was the Warden Commander then, since Duncan was made the second-in-command at the end of the Calling...

And I'm having a fangirl moment, and plotting fanfiction with Nathaniel in it already. Because his situation with a female Cousland would just be too awesome to pass up. Can you say tension?



I have no intention of killing him off. I have more of a "I hate you so very much" turning into her throwing herself at him in frustration sort of thing in my head.

I'm sure that whatever sin Bryce may have done was enough to warrant the deaths of his wife, his children, his grandchild, his servants, his friends and their servants, his guards, his dogs, and everyone else at the castle. I'll give Nate some credit, he is keeping his quarrel to the one(s) he feels are responsible.

Anyway, I doubt he will survive my game. Nothing personal, just can't have people with a personal beef against me and a sword with my name on it running around freely.

I stayed in shock, glazing at the computer screen for some time reading "Arl Rendon Howe, Nathaniel Howe, son"....okaaaay. He is still not dead, i am really curios abotu him.

You know that saying, keep your enemies close. And it would be soooo fun to tell him mean things with my HNF.

I get the feeling that Nate is one of those cliche characters that hates your guts and tries to kill you. But in the end, he admits that you were right and he was wrong and now you're buddies.

I think it was 20 years ago... I remember Cailan was 5 in the 2nd book.
Well, if Natty's grandpa was one of those Wardens, then why he's complaining about 'Orlesian filth'? Such a hypocrisy! I'll stab him for this as well

So the Human Noble should already have met this guy or at least know him right? The Couslands and Howes were pretty close. From the portrait sitting there right beside his it seems he is Rendon's firstborn and was not estranged or anything.

I hope so, though none of the other nobles in-game seem to have met the Cousland PC earlier...   But hopefully with how close their fathers supposedly were, that will be the case.

Regardless, I'm still excited to see how he reacts to my HN; if I hadn't been sitting in a library when I was reading the last page of the comic, I probably would have let out a fangirl squeal.

Yes! I am not alone in my fangirling. That means there's three of us now that I know of.
