Another Orlesian-hater. After Loghain I thought they were extinct. How come he is supporting a snake like Rendon Howe ?



Guess its up to us to make him believe who the Howe really was.



And there is a good chance he can be first companion since he is trying to sneak in Vigil's keep and I think you will save him from death sentence or sort.



Just a theory... wonder who is his target ?

I guess a human noble would do that job REALLY well, for obvious reasons...

Target? Apart from the PC, I can really see no one. After all, the original PC killed Howe... Hmm... how interesting. I'll guess we'll have to wait till friday to say though... or not?

Maybe he's not reffering to Arl Howe but to Arl Byron who was the Arl of Amaranthine during the rebellion with Orlais??????

The Howes did fight against Orlais and are seen as heroes (the reality is that they were collaborators at first). So maybe that's why this rogue would want to kill the PC.

I'm personally a little dissapointed that this seems to be another serious comic. I like Penny Arcade most for their sense of humor and tell it like it is attitude.

I doubt that his target would be PC warden.



He might be another victim of Howe's cunning. And he might be our first companion and our guide while we are traveling. Guess we need to wait 1 more week to clearify somethings.

What do we know about Rendon Howe's Father in law, is it possible that he was a grey warden?
From DAO we know that Rendon Howe had a son of about the same age as the PC (learned during human noble origin) so my guess is that this character could be Rendon's son.

But we rescue Thomas (Howe's son) in Origins and he doesn't have any reason to hate the Grey Wardens. I also don't believe he had dark hair, but I will have to replay the Arl of Denermi part of the story to find out for sure.

That's not Thomas. It's either Oswyn, son of Bann Sighard or Vaughan Kendells, son of the former Arl of Denerim (Urien Kendells). We don't see Thomas Howe anywhere in Origins.

I was just reading page three of the comic and thinking he looks a bit like that Rogue guy from the Awakening videos...then I come here and see everyone has already reached the same conclusion.

Totally agree, so far the characters revealed have been great, but this could be the icing on the cake if this Shadow Rogue dude is the son (or whatever) of Arl Howe - that would be a mega-twist.
