If it was Thomas, he'd be calling him "father", not "Rendon Howe". The guy's internal monologue makes him sound like his relationship with Howe was similar to Ser Cauthrien's relationship with Loghain.

I'm not so sure. Think about the kind of person Howe is. I wouldn't put it past him to force his children to address him formally. Perhaps that behavior is just so ingrained into his being that he's prim and proper even in his head?

Also, they could just be working up to the "father" bit.

Definitely sounds like Thomas Howe, though I'm not sure if he's going to have the Shadow spec, since from what I recall the Shadows originated from Orlais and serve the Emperor/Empress.

It seems like those were different Shadows:? Look: social.bioware.com/wiki/dragonage/index.php/Rogue_Specializations
So whether that is Howe or not, he could be a Shadow anyways.

This character looks like he could be interesting. Too bad he's a dead man.

"What was Rendon Howe's crime?" This should make for some interesting conversation with the Human Noble PC and Loghain if they show up in this comic.

I am trying to imagine the rage if human noble players aren't allowed to answer that question to their satisfaction

Oh I will rage. My Noble, she hates Howe with a burning passion. Hell, if there was an option to order the execution of EVERY SINGLE ONE of Howe's soldiers, she would do it. With a smile on her face, might I add.

This is where my human noble snapped and went berserk on Howe's men:

Image IPB

Made a whole series of screenshots with loads of dying Howe soldiers and even more blood

Whoever brings up Rendon Howe during Awakening should be prepared for the memories that will resurface.

I wouldn't mind seeing this. Good thinking. Maybe that's what the thief is there to do; maybe he doesn't really like Howe's limp body hanging there in shame. I really like that thought, actually.

Well, too bad for him. He'd better like Howe's body dangling there or he can take his problems to my sword of truthines.

Now I'm really hoping it's Thomas! That would be great. The dialog would be very interesting and it'll be so much more intense. I doubt it is tho'.. :(

My Howe had a brutal death. I set my companions to attack other enemies and used paralyze on Howe so it registered as me attacking him. After his aids were dealt with i set my companions to wait and the toyed with him using different magics. I ended up equipping two daggers (aw mage) and decapatating him. He had no head telling me he deserved better.

He dies. It is decided. "Gifts from Orleisian enemies" doesn't seem so much of a crime.

It's poking me in the eyes that he's Thomas though. And it's making me twitchy wanting to find out that he is.

This character seems to posess a Ser Cautherin like blind loyalty. More so, actually. Ser Cautherin knew that Loghain's actions were wrong. This fellow believes charges against one of the most respected families in Fereldan entirely on Howe's say-so.

Agree it does look that way, question is, if say he is the next party char, will it be like the zevran encounter? or some type of twist which changes his loyalty during the game?

Until now, I am not sure what to make of this guy. I thought he didn't know about the Couslands, but he does. What I want to know is why such devotion to Howe? I think he must have known Howe personally and is somehow endebted to him (if he isn't his son).

Out of all characters, this guy is the most compelling because he provides a sense of continuity with Origins (especially for an HN). Plus, he has a political aspect to him, which I always like. Convincing him about how wrong he is, is going to be interesting.

I really want to get to know this guy, especially as my HN. Is he related to Howe, or just a totally endoctrinated Howe follower? Most interesting.
