Thats so strange...
My Pure Paragon Char could still decide between Morinth and Samara.
But my Renegade couldnt either resist her (not even the Evil Option), nor decide between te too, he just grabbed Morinth without my choice.
Thats lame

I have no idea what you're talking about. I got the same choices playing renegade that I did playing paragon.

Then again I wasn't complete renegade. I don't know about you but I had some paragon points to go with my mostly renegade.

I was able to resist her on my Shep, but he had a pretty high renegade point...

Yeah, I've had this same problem. It's much harder to get her as a renegade. Had the same problem when defending Tali as a renegade; it's hard to get enough points to get your influence skill that high.

I hate that the game punishes you for shades of gray and rewards you for having no nuance to your character.

You get a choice but your problem is that you have started a new character without importing a renegade in which case you cant get her. >:(

You have to resist her mind control to be able to choose

I didn't even know you could get Morinth. I ended up with Samara on my first playthrough.

As has been said, you need a fairly high Paragon/Renegade meter to resist her. That allows for the choice in who to keep. Keep in mind that earning Renegade points is more than just choosing the bottom left option, and you might have enough by that point in the game.

Lol hats so lame!
I almost ONLY coose Renegade option and kick Babys and all, but even ater lvl 4 in the Passive Skill and after getting all Companions my Renegade Score isnt even 50%.

But my lvl 50 Char from ME1 got his 100% Paragon even waaaaay before Omega4 Mission    -_-

Its stupid because you need the Paragon/Renegade option for getting her, not for resisting her.

I mean: Why do i hae to resist her, so i can decide o choose her??

It would be logical te oher way around, hat when i cant resist she has some Control over me and that i maybe even MUST help he.

If you get Morinth her dialog is about you resisting her, and I suppose if you couldn't she would just eat you after Samara was dead. Thus no choosing sides.

That isn't why you can't obtain her. As I said above, earning Renegade points is more than just being a dick to every person you see. It's a rather large part, but there is indeed more to it.

I don't know, I think my renegade was just around the half way mark when I did that mission. It's not like you need it almost full for you to get the option.

you need about 95%+ renegade (or paragon) to get her.

I love games with NG+ and was exstatic when I found out that ME2 had it in after all. But you've nailed the one thing that makes NG+ in this game totally worthless.

Importing an ME 1 save gives you a shed load of bonuses, but importing an ME2 save gives you nothing.  ( Except for keeping your weapons and levels, but due to the crap leveling system, they arn't hard to get back again. ) Image IPB

Thats not true, on my 2nd play through I had a fairly high paragon score and could've chosen her if I had so wanted but it was nowhere near the percentage value you describe

Paragon or Renegade Shep can't allow himself to be mind controlled by a serial killer.  So Morinth dies

In my experience there's something awry with Paragon/Renegade scores and persuasion in NG+.

Well i reloaded the Pre-Mission Save and did some other Missions and Storyline.

Before going through Omega4-Relay i tried it again and relocated my Passive Skill, so that i get 100% Paragon/Renegade.

I managed to accumulate about 80% Renegade and it worked! ^^

(The Bar has 5 Lines, so i divided 100 by 5 and reached the secondlast Line, so i assume this is 80%...)

I don't get it, it isn't working for me. I'm a little past the last line on the renegade bar.

One of my playthroughs was decidedly renegade and, despite the option to do so, I still couldn't kill off Samara... guess I'm not the ultimate badass lol

My character was able to choose between both the Paragon and Renegade responses.

Also, you don't get to choose Morinth as a character unless you've fully resisted her mind control. Basically, go and get more Renegade points if you want her.
