[Martin of Candlekeep]

In another thread, I raised the question of how Branka became such a powerful figure, quite difficult to defeat in combat. Several of us discussed her background as being a member of the smith caste, and how that might have contributed to her might. This discussion recalled to me a verse from a poem long-forgotten, by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow: "... the smith, a might man is he, with large and sinewy hands..."
