I'm guessing somewhere between 70-100 hours. Oh, but that's only the beginning, there's a whole other world to be seen. It's called ToolsetKickingMajorAss...ia.

the "stuff" that I'm refering to is backtracking, replayabilty.
and it's not so rare for developers to include the times of other playthroughs if they base their times on playtime quality (Like most FPS with multiplayer).

And most of you guys are now quessing your play times based on AClockworkMelon information, which still has to be seen if it's accurate. Which I doubt.. 100hours... it would be really awsome if that's true...

nontheless, I believe that the play time will increase with DCL and player made mods eventually in due time.

I'm not aware of  AClockworkMelon's estimates. There is an interesting Dev post in here where extreme figures of between 10 and 100 hours are proffered.

Yeah a 100 hundred hour playthrough would be great, but maybe only once for me.
I'm expecting to get a lot more than that from the game all told though Posted Image

I'm a completionist, plus I often play several characters at the same time. However, unless I get a work project in the near future, I will have a lot of time on my hands, so I expect it won't take me terribly long to finish the game once.

I'm a completionist too, but for how long will it take me would directly relate to my two handed sword. Its how i problem solve. :)
estimate at 140, if they advertise at 100 on the main site

How do i get up that cliff face to reach long forgotten tower of DoOm?  I don't have climbing gear....hmm i'll use my greatsword :P

Creature X needs you to talk to creature Y, Greatsword

Boss of epicness?  Greatsword

Need to make lunch or dinner for the party?  Greatsword

Don't have a writing utensil, and need to write a letter?  Greatsword

Need some wood for a campfire?  Greatsword

Stranded in the ocean?  Greatsword

;)

I tend to be more of a role-player first time through, then a completionist the second. In other words I will skip content if it doesn't match to the role I am playing for my character. However I also have the anal streak of wanting to see and do everything - hence that is good for the second time around.

If I exclude character creation from the total time (as I will spend a good day or two making intial characters and playing them for a short while to get a feel) then I plan on probably 80 hours myself.

I will chat with everyone, explore, fiddle with every little thing, read every bit of lore, books, dialogue, etc. that I come to. I will ponder all my choices and plan out battles.

I love to just totally sink right into a good game.

If I'm lucky, by the end of December. Between work and school, I'm not gonna have more than a few hours a week to game. Sucks, I know, but I gotta keep my priorities. Sniff. :(

You've hit the nail on the head for the way it'll be with me also.
I don't actually have a full day off any day of the week so it'll take me a while (c'mon Christmas Holiday!)

I'll probably fall in the middle range of 40-60 hours. I don't have very much time until the end of November to play it, and then Christmas break at the end of December. And weekends. So it may take anywhere between a few weeks to a month to complete my first playthrough.

I tend to explore everything and take my time. My first playthrough of ME took almost 60 hours (I spent a lot of time driving the Mako around). I still spent 45 hours on my second ME playthrough. BG2 took me almost a year to finish the first time (was working a lot). I would like to finish my first DAO playthrough before ME2 comes out but that might be pushing it. Some of the devs have said they spent 100+ hours so I will probably be over that. At 7-10 hours per week I might be done by late January (or I will just have to take some time off of work).

I don't have much time in November at all so I'll probably finish the game beginning of December by raging through it for a week.

I won't finish it the first time round. I'll get quite far and then decide to start again for one reason or another. I find I almost always end up doing that...

I'm in the same boat, I always have like five low level characters before I settleon one to playthrough as.   Unless I can get D2D to download completely from a hotel room.. I will be getting a week latestart due to work :(  But I'm taking a week of vacation time after that...so hopefully at the end of that week I wil have beaten it.
