Highlights my terrible play, my lack of skill in the bypass minigame, the ability to dance around a box thus fooling the mech and some bug weirdness.

Here

Enjoy the laughs.

So I just finished my first insanity run(still have a few N7 missions left). What an absolute blast! I played as an engineer with no heavy weapons usage, and it all went surprisingly smoothly. I never died more than twice on any battle, and by the third try I had always learned my lesson well enough that it wasn't too difficult.

It's so fun taking Dominate as a bonus power and making enemies who are trying to flank you flank each other instead. Attack Drone one enemy on the far left/right, then quickly drop protection and dominate the enemy on the opposite side. Go back to the first enemy and dominate him. They end up pinching the enemies in the middle.

Or if there are enemies with heavy weapons, just hack/dominate them and watch 'em go to town. During the Colossus section of Tali's recruitment mission, not only did I not die, but neither did my squad - not even once. Hacked Geth destroyers pretty much cleared the path for me all the way to the Colossus. Once I got there, I just stun locked the thing with my drone and hacked troopers as they spawned. Barely fired my weapon the entire time.

I haven't tried all the classes yet, but so far engineer is my favorite. Love my Weightless Companion Sphere. So much so that at the end of the love scene with Tali, I was really hoping the camera would pan out and reveal him and Chikktika having a little moment themselves as well. Just a little spark between them would've been cute. Or maybe even have them "go Venn". This game is rated M after all.

And here it is my last contribution to this awesome thread:

Dantius Towers - Crossing the bridge

Level=18
Length=3:20
Difficulty= Insanity
Only standard weapons, no tactical pause, no bonus powers.
Video is a single take, only one cut to skip the part where I'm taking down the two Missile platforms using the missile launcher + Overload R3. I'll upload the uncut version soon

Notes:
AS usual, I try to use every power (I use even the sabotage here); Dantius towers is a very engineerish map: shields, synthetics, armor. The bridge fight is, maybe, my favourite fight in ME2, it isn't the hardest but it's very open and very rewarding when playing my favored aggressive playstyle.

The recording has been, to my surprise, a very enjoyable experience; I've recorded 8 takes, only dying twice and experimenting a little in each one. I've chosen this take where I was focusing on cryo, there are three cryo moments I love here. It's far from perfect (I get hit by allmost every damn warp!!!) and overload it's seldom used (having Zaeed with disruptor-squad ammo helped, and the 6 seconds cooldown of overload it's too punishing if you are trying to play fast and aggressive [overload should be 4,5 secs cooldown])

The music from the Afterlife club helps a lot, this is my first video without audio recording, just music.

So enjoy it!!!

PD: I'll be uploading soon the uncut version; this was cut to met with the 2-3mins limit Christina said.

Ahahahaha! You play like me! I have like the worst OCD about checking every single little corner for possible loot. I'm so glad that this game highlights (most of the time) the loot so you can see it from a distance/through walls.

I asked on the youtube video also, but how did you get the afterlife song? I purchased the soundtrack and i got RIPPED OFF because niether of the afterlife songs are in it. Where did you get them? Where can I get them?

Awesome video, thats some pro engineering.

Thanks, the music track was very simple; I went to the afterlife, frapped the song, extracted the audio track, some editing to normalize sound and make it a loop and ready to go. I don't know why they didn't include the afterlife songs in the official soundtrack, both are very good. There's a method to extract songs from the audio files but I have more than doubts about the legality of the process.

It's fine, I just spend the last hour hunting them all down. Now I have all the tracks, including the Flux song from ME1.

I was initially pretty harsh on Engineer's usefulness in Insanity. Now, after playing a bit more, I'm finding that it's not as bad as I made it out to be.

Really, against Geth or synthetics, Engineer's have no equal. Rescuing Tali and doing her loyalty mission are among the easiest moments of play. The Armature went down so fast, it was almost comical. Stood no chance.

And the drone is very useful most times. It recharges so fast that even if it gets killed right away, if you have "explosive drone" it's like throwing out a bomb with a 3 second recharge.

The hardest parts for Engineers are definitely the parts dealing with the Collectors... mainly because of the biotic barriers. But I understand those to be among the more difficult parts in the game anyways. Even those, with proper preparation, aren't too hard.

Hey guys,

does anyone know if attack drones are affected by +tech power damage modifiers? Also, what did you guys use, explosive or attack drone? I did my Insanity run with Explosive, but I'm thinking about Attack for my Insanity/New game+.

I believe the dance music you hear in the bars/clubs are from different games. I know the Dark Star music was a soundtrack from SSX3 (a snowboarding game on the PS2/X-Box).

It may be that including it on the soundtrack was some violation of the licensing deal.

I don't know about all the stats, but I do know which drone type I used: attack. I love the attack drone. It has a ton of health and is therefore great at harrassing enemies. I've got to finish up my latest montage because I'll definitely include some footage of the attack drone.

A little delay with a response, but here's my opinion on the Attack Drone. Overall, the Explosive Drone has the bigger impact in battle. It deals 100 damage every time it dies, where on insanity, it dies quite often. However, if you play more conservativley and actually focus around AI Hacking and taking Dominate as your bonus power, than the Attack Drone may shine. Because most of the opponents are distracted or controlled,  this gives the Drone a longer life. An Attack Drone does 40 damage every 3 seconds, so its life span is very important.

Seems like PC users are able to bind hot keys to their squad mates powers. This makes it much easier for them to play optimally without briefly pausing the game. Will XBox 360 video posters get some allowances for that, or can we get two versions of videos for each class? PC/XBox360

Well we have a couple buttons that aren't really used. I can't remember them off the top of my head at the moment. But I think select, up and down d-pad are available. Also, I can't remember what B or A does other than A's influence with dialogue and B helping you get into cover.

B is melee, A is storm/cover. Up on the d-pad tells your squadmates to attack a specific target and down tells them to regroup on you. Left and right on the-dpad tells either the left or right squad mate to go a specific position, but if you hit left or right while targetting an enemy then your squad will use their respective ability that you have hotkeyed on said enemy. For example if you have Jacob's pull hotkeyed to left on the d-pad and Miranda's warp to right on the d-pad, all you have to do is hit left, then right to pull off the combo.
All the buttons are pretty much used, though they could add hotkeys to pressing in the left/right analog sticks. Right now doing so just brings up your objective radar, which isn't really that big of a deal.

While I am probably late for what this thread was intended for, I was inspired by other videos here to try out the Engineer. I hadn't played one in ME1 as they didn't seem very eciting class to play. But here in ME2, they are quite fun to play and have considerable power to manipulate the battlefield.

Here is my video showing off my horrible shooter skills in action. :P

We've posted the results here.

I think Christina will move it into the main post when she gets a chance.
