Miranda has very nice plot armor. In fact, the only way to kill her in SM would be to take her to fight the Larva while she's unloyal. Then she'd be killed with debris.

Also, do not make her your team leader if she's unloyal. She won't die; others would.

So as long as Miranda doesn't lead any fire teams/hold the biotic bubble/is left holding the line you should be ok.

Also, you can use gibbed save editor to change your number of paragon/renegare points. After winning Miranda's loyality you can change it back to what it was.

I did it by first telling jack to shut up. then went and respeced my passive class bonus from +70% para/renegade pts to +100% and went down to engineering, said he its all good. and bam everyone loyal.

Your only alternative is to try to do somethings that get you more points.

On Insane I was a little shy of a full bar (maybe 95%) with the 100 re-spec and was able to grovel to Miranda. She may be easier that Jack though.

The bars are irrelevant. The game looks at the proportion of points you have compared to the points possible, not the bars (which don't come out to the same). A 95% full paragon bar is irrelevant if you got it from, say, 70% of the possible Paragon points and are facing a 75% requirement.

i stall like hell where i do jack or miranda's loyalty mission last, when i almost have my paragon bar capped.
