Ugh, damn fanboy wars. Why cant people just accept that some like PC some like consoles, some out of necessity some out of whatever.
I am a PC gamer and hate exclusive titles, stripping away PC games potential to fit the console market but on the other hand the hardware requirements sink. I do not begrudge console gamers their opinion and it is financially a better choice in the end. But arguments like keyboard or controller is all about the user and not a universal truth, I gave up shooting with a controller long ago but that does not mean controllers suck, they just aernt intuitive for me. PC gamers usually are forced to do alot more to get things to work however, and that´s the price we pay for being able to tailor our games and enjoy better and smoother visuals.
But the argument about couch, tv/monitor whatever always makes me snicker. For 2 years I´ve been gaming from my couch on a HDTV with 5.1 surround sound with my computer, but I cant expect everyone to invest as much as I have chosen in entertainment.
Arguing is futile!
I agree. However, a PC is meant for many things. Having to hook it up whenever I want to use my laptop or desktop is just troublesome. Consoles are meant purely for gaming with a side of other entertainment.... PC's are meant for work, email, chat, games, etc..... even sitting on the couch using a wireless keyboard/mouse you need to have something to lean on..... as opposed to just chillaxxin back with a controller. I hook my laptop up to my hdtv from time to time.... but not that often even though it's just a matter of plugging in via hdmi, however it's not really worth it unless I can sit there with a controller. Most bioware games don't have controller support for the PC.... I don't know why, they should being 360 and PS3 gamers can use a keyboard/mouse if it makes them happy and many PC games allow you to just plug a 360 controller right in.
It all comes down to preference. I buy PC games for mods when I want more of the game... or if it's exclusive (which is rare, but take Crysis and the Witcher for example.. well at least as of now they still are). However, Microsoft is really good at getting "preferential" treatment for XBox Live subscribers.. so many exclusivities fall their way..... and even the other two current consoles (Wii, PS3) have some good exclusives. At the end of the day, whatever makes you happy.... I just choose which platform I want that particular game for based on a number of things (obviously it's always more expensive to buy it for the 360 or PS3, only about a ten dollar difference but still).... but it seems it's been increasingly leaning towards 360 over the last few years. M$ would own Cerberus. lol, but at least they take good care of their customers (from my experiences any way).
