Keep the DLC coming, both paid and free, and you'll keep a lot of people happy (both for satisfying their ME hunger, and for not forcing them to delve into another MMO).

However, I would like to see a duel mode in Mass Effect 3, just a fight between your shepard and a friend's shepard. Vanguard versus Infiltrator...battle of the century...haha

I would not want them banned outright, even though I find it peculiar that they don't seem to get it that it's nigh impossible to translate a highly story-intensive RPG like ME2 into an MMO without significantly watering down its very essence. I would, however, endorse them being tarred and feathered for the forum's general amusement.Solmanian wrote...
Again, and again we see this brain dead ppl insisting on defiling the ME legacy. Excuse me, but a million ppl advertising all the curse words they know, is not my idea of RPG. MMO's is are a hotbed for human devolvement into it's most juvanile state. The fact that they're talking about Asari with "power bows" and enchanted deggars, should tell u that they aren't on the same page as the rest of us...

Well, not banned, but it was told about 1861166817 times that the Mass Effect franchise is a single-player action/rpg. We knew it anyways, it was mentioned specifically for them. Eh, if some people were to get developing rights, they'd turn ME3 into a dating-mmo for sure.

that being said, those who do want a Mass Effect mmo have just as much right to ask for one as I or anyone else do to argue against it. provided their reasoning is a bit more advanced than "it wud be kool"

Mass Effect is a great universe for an MMO if it advanced the genre, but I'm going to have to see whether The Old Republic breaks the mold in all the right places before I suggest that the franchise be turned over to a genre where "good" game design involves delivering time sinks instead of content.
I agree 100%...

Isn't the better question: 'Should people suggesting that people suggesting that Mass Effect be made into an MMO be banned instead?'
Seriously, who cares if someone voices an opinion that differs from your own? Imagine if there were threads about how Mass Effect should be a 360 exclusive and the PC gamers should not even have the Mass Effect franchise available to them? Then the discussion about MMOs would not even account for WoW, Star Trek Online, etc. but would only include two games in total (PSU and FFXI).
Yes, the Mass Effect universe is just that, a universe, and it encompasses a large enough area that even a small portion of the universe could make up an entire game. Heck, an MMO could take place in a single system and it would still provide enough details to keep players interested for hundreds of hours. Should an MMO be created in the Mass Effect universe? Probably not yet, but that does not mean that it should never be done.
As I have stated before the gameplay mechanics are already in place to allow for Mass Effect to transition into an MMO. No they are not perfect and would require much tweaking to keep things balanced. I would much rather see ME add in multiplayer in the form of coop gameplay but should I be banned for merely suggesting the idea? Stop with the censorship and please let us all know why a ME MMO would be a bad idea; I can't wait to see how you support your opinion.

Personally, I could see an MMO being practical. Content would have to be extremely heavy: including large planet areas, character classes, weapons, expansion on species, ships, economic and career activities, and a bunch of other stuff I can't comprehend right now. But as of course, you would get all of the cons of an MMO.

The idea for mass effect as an MMO would not interfere with the trilogy in any way, in the MMO there would be no commander shepard, you would be able to choose class and race, and things would be different. In no way would it ruin the franchise, it would be a totally different game.
I know, and if they made an mmo I'd probably give it a try. but I'm hoping that once ME3 is done and Shepherd's story is over they'll continue to make single player games in the Mass Effect universe with different characters and stories. it's very likely going to be one or the other (or neither) though; single player, or multiplayer
