This game is just so much fun and has such an epic feel to it.

- Amazing top notch story
- Fantastic voice acting and dialogue writing
- Great combat/gameplay
- Nice atmosphere
- Enjoyable characters
- And most importantly its just fun as hell
- Great game world
- Tons of details into the background of characters, cities,etc..

Best rpg in years and years and this years best game imo (along with Forza3 on xbox360).
I bought the game on PC and im loving ever minute of it! There are a few issues and its not perfect, but it sure is a blast to play! I can really tell that Bioware put in alot of effort into this game. If they can fix some of the crashing issues some people are having this would be perfection imo.

Thanks bioware :D

After finding out about this game only yesterday, ( i know i know i live in a cave), i decided to buy the CE version from my local game store, then downloaded Wardens Keep.
I have played about 2 hours now and all i can say is about time too.
I am a fan of BG, and i have been waiting for a game as good, this may be it.

Oh and hi.

I'm roughly around 7 hrs into it and im loving it. The only thing that disappointed me is the graphics, ive been playing oblivion a while before this game come out, and the graphics are much better on it, of which is what i expected this game to look like as well. But its by far the ONLY disappointment ive had thus far.

Yes, amazing game, been waiting for this since 2006 (once i heard about that).

Very nice job.Only "problem" is that I can`t decide what to use tho, character with 2H or sword+shield (switching between 2 characters) because combat moves look so nice :)

I heard one review call this the "RPG of the decade", its why I decided to pre-order (although I was following since the project was announced). Doesn't quite live up to that, but its a decent game.

I agree this being one of the best rpg games ever maybe even the best.
If you look at it as it is and compare it towards other it is by far the best but then several others are years older so one has to take that into consideration

The story and the graphic is just awesome, just short of watching a movie.
The interaction with npc is brilliant and the action in the game is splendid.
The fights are often very hard but that is how it should be, after all who wants just to play a
endless fights of walkover fights. I have fallen in love with this game and I hope
we will see lot of downloadable adventures in the future.

Sheesh, finally a positive feedback thread amidst all of these disappointed threads.

I am loving this game too. I am really hooked after a full day of playing. I can see some really high replay value too. I already want to restart a game to make some different choices.

I have been playing this non-stop for 3 days. I find it amazing how many little details they put in, like when i got a unique axe a nice detailed story poped up to describe where the axe came from. Its little things like that that i think makes this game the RPG of the decade

Good to see others are enjoying this game as much as me hehe.

Yeah I noticed that too. It feels like a lot of time was spent on the small details. This is why it pains me so much to hear people complain about the graphics or some small menu quirks.

It's certainly the best RPG made in the last few years, but about that Voice Acting...

Although Alistair is probably the best VA I've heard in a video game, what the hell is with that French accent? (Leliana)? Is Orlais supposed to be France? Even its capital is pronounced in a French way(Val Royeaux). It sounds a bit out of place.

And the dwarves? In pretty much every RPG (including Bioware's prequels) dwarves had a distinct accent and it added a lot to the atmosphere. Now they speak perfect American English.

Oh man, I am loving it.  I can feel it coming on like a crack addiction.  As a matter of fact, it is 10:16pm here and I am drinking coffee so I can do an all nighter :o

By the way, am I the only one who loves the graphics? Everyone seems to complain about it, and I can't see why. The characters, armors and environment all look great.

Well, besides that silly mage hat. Give us a way already to hide it, I look like a hobo.

Maybe I'm just too used to NWN's blocky tilesets.

I was going to start a thread just like this. This has to be the best RPG I've played since the OLD Ultimas series. The graphics are not top-notch, no, but I don't care since the rest of the game is so incredible. Not to mention I think it is very important they make this game so it runs on "most" machines, which means top of the line graphics cuts a lot of people out (especially in this economy).

What worries me a bit is all the "it's too hard" posts. I'm finding 95% of the battles to be a cake-walk on Normal level. I'm wondering if so many dumbed-down; super graphics with simple gameplay; complete lack of tactics type games have made some of our gaming community kind'a lazy-minded and one-key mashers ("I right clicked on the enemy, went to get some snacks, and when I came back, my party was dead, what the heck man, this game is too hard dude"). Great game, only problem I have with it is that it's so immersive, kind of hard to do everything. I mean, I usually try and complete everything but this time, if an NPC dissapears or something, rather than reloading I just move on because there is so much more to do. Not really used to a game like this, so it took me a while to realise how to create traps and potions (I was on the xbox) still I really enjoy the conversations with my NPCs and while some may say te gift system makes it too easy, I prefer being able to learn more about my party without having to jump through a whole lot of loops.

Surprizingly Alistair seems to be my favourite so far, with all his one liners and conversation (where I just mock him the whole time) I think Bioware should be commended for their rich and deep characters, hell, I miss all of my elf companions from the Daelish elf origin. :(

Yes, I agree with the graphics level.  If it runs smooth, they don't distract from the game.  Despite Crysis looking very good, look at how many people complain about it running like crap.  Complaints will come either way unfortunately.

I am mainly a FPS player so this is my first in-depth RPG.   I have to admit, I am dying a lot on normal but as I get the control of my party down, it is getting a lot smoother.

Have to agree. Been a long time since a single player game drew me in (play a lot of MMO's) but loved BW products and always willing to give them a go. Never let me down, and this is no exception. I find myself reading everything, madly hovering over everything on the screen to find more things to read and generally emersing myself in a rich, detailed and engaging world. The combat and tactics system (with pause) help us old timers without twitch reflexes (but keen minds) become engrossed in the battles and the voice acting is second to none, possibly the main reason why the game shines.

As for the graphics being a topic of intense debate I can only say it adds to the overall brilliance of the game not by its detail but by its appropriateness. It's a gritty, rugged world and the its shown as such. I give it a thumbs up, and the game two thumbs up (and probablya couple toes as well). Well done all involved, give yourselves a well deserved pat on the collective back. Posted Image

Just popped out of the game to go to bed after playing it for the first time today, and thought that I would also take the moment to thank BioWare for having guaranteed that I will lose my job as I will be too busy obsessing over this game! :D Thanks, it's awesome.

I'm really enjoying this game. For example, at Redcliffe I kept pushing towards killing Connor, to where the Arlessa would come in and beg me to not kill him. It was very moving... I decided to freaking go grab Morrigan and do the stupid fade for the boy lol.

With that said, I agree this game is RPG of the decade. Way better than Oblivion and Fallout 3, and a big step up from NWN2.

However, I don't think it is better than Baldurs Gate is/was, or Planescape Torment for that matter.
