Maybe its just me, but why do I get the feeling we'll be commanding a new Normandy in ME3? ME1 had the SR-1, ME2 the SR-2, will ME3 have a super Normandy thats like the SR-1 and SR-2 combined into a joint Alliance/Cerberus frigate or cruiser: the SR-3?
Mass Effect 3=Normandy SR-3?

well, the SR2 is the most advanced thing out there after all the upgrades you put into it. and if you take the paragon ending you kinda tell TIM to f off while you steal his ship. I dunno, maybe but i think the SR2 is here to stay.

I think it'll be the same old SR-2 with upgrades this time around, it's already quite expansive.

Nah, I don't think so.

Meh, my Paragon Shep has duct tape to fix the Normandy 1 and a exercise wheel for my space hamster to power the ship...get out from cereberus's stinky grasp asap in ME3
(maybe in ME3 as well as customizable armor, we can get a customizable Normandy?)

No. Changing the Normandy up from SR2 to SR3 in the next game would just be ridiculous. The change from the SR1 (RIP... you're still cooler than the SR2, Normandy SR1) to SR2 was jarring, and that factor would only be escalated with 'OH LOOK SR3 WHAT NOW' in ME3. I'd prefer to keep the Normandy SR2 around for ME3, maybe with a few extra bits and pieces retrofitted in.

All I'd need for the Normandy SR-3 is macgyver and a roll of duct tape.

Hmm, interesting. The SR-2 is very, very cool. If no SR-3, then I would love to see new upgrades for it. Changing the color of the hull, or adding more upgrades like ablative armor or mini drone fighters like the Occulus.

What bioware can do is make SR-2 upgrade even further in ME3 and those upgrades show physically on the ship. Not just the damage control holo image on the bridge.

I want a Dreadnought (they're named after mountains, right? How about 'Suribachi'? or 'Matterhorn'?).
Meh @ anything smaller.

So far we have Human and Turian design influences in the first and second Normandy. It would not be too far fetched imo that we might also get e.g. some Salarian and Asari (whose Silaris armour we can already acquire in ME2) influences if they finally come to their senses concerning the Reapers. And as Shepard and the Normany are more or less their best bet, why not offer some increased support and species-specific upgrades for the ship?

I'll bet upgrades will expand it further in ME3. But I think you'll be sticking with the SR2, ((Not that I wouldn't mind having a ship thats HWOOG and takes awhile to get from one part to the other.))

maybe the cannon game story will be telling the im to get lost and taking his ship and you go back to the alliance or citadel council and they can update the normandy sr 2 more plus it would need repairs looking at the end of me2

I would not be shocked if the pattern of new, bigger ship continued. If not SR3, the SR2 will have some refits.

I'm somehow expecting the SR3 to be TIM's revenge weapon against Shepard for some reason...

What I want:
1. New normandy that can be customized--weapons, armor, paint, etc.
2. New normandy that can fight in mini-game thing (think ships in Empire: TW).
3. A fleet of SR-2s or SR-3s or whatever. Think the White Star Fleet.
Actually, move the White Star fleet up to number one. Come on, bioware, you've taken so much from B5--don't stop now!

Keep your SR3, as long as SR2 has a bar as an optional upgrade, it will be amusing to see the possible opportunities.

Nah the SR2 is good the way it is. A few upgrades would be nice but overall it's good the way it is.

It seems logical to make a SR-3 since they made a SR-2 for mass effect 2. They obviously wouldnt get it destroyed again but cause its a Cerberus ship it does basically belong to the Illusive man. Say you got the good ending, you seem to basically just take his ship so he could always send Cerberus Agents to go get it back or something but i havent thought about if you got the bad ending in mass effect 2
maybe something simple like trading it in for a new one xD

It damn well better.
Legion should also be upgradable into a Geth Prime.

That would be cool.. As long as he can transform into a semi-truck.
