I hope we are back with the Alliance and there is an SR-3. I believe it should be more professional, by that I mean with no bar.

Yeah, great idea. It would make sense if the other races made their own stealthed frigates like Normandy.
Garrus commands the turian frigate who have a extra strong armour.
Legion commands the geth frigate who have extra strong shields.
Samara commands the asari frigate who are extra fast.
Etc, etc...
Each ship would have special missions suited for them especialy and a look typical for their race both on the exterior and the interior. Yeah, it might impossible to do but it's still a cool thing to dream about.

Ehh. I don't think assigning ships to your squadmates is such a good idea, especially since none of them have starship command training. It wouldn't bode well for the story. But if someone with experience, maybe Wrex, returns not as an actual squadmate but in the form of a massive dreadnought to lend a hand a bit like Sulu in the Undiscovered Country, I would be more than cool with that.

You are right, my misstake. I doubt anyone would let a krogan command a dreadnought though. General Septimus Oraka or Captain Anderson on the other hand, yes definitely.
Shepard: "Yeah that's right you stupid reaper, turn to face Normandy... Septimus! Get ready to give that squid a dose of turian engineering to the vunerable flank!"
Septimus: "Step aside junior! Thanix cannon ready. Well, here's to soldiers acting like soldiers."

only problem with that is when has wrex ever recieved starship command training Garrus would be a much better canidate cause he has at least served on a military turian curiser before. Plus Wrex can hardly even get the Krogan Clans to unite let alone come up with the technology or have the creds or resources to make any ship.... let alone a dreadnought. And what i ment is that Garrus could be commissioned by the council withe Shepard's recommendation he wouldn't be a squad mate anymore he would be like a person who you could still interact with but outside of the ship and use him as an adition resource once again would never happen anyway just thought it would be a cool idea.

well i hope the Normandy gets fully-repaired to take on the rest of the reaper fleet by upgrading the Normandy with new technology such as: new plating, newer starship weapons, upgrades for the engine, and new characters as squad members for Mass Effect 3.

Keep the SR2, just add more upgrades to it.

And as for paragons "pirating" it, correct me if I'm wrong here, but the only time TIM ever calls it his ship is when talking to Joker during the Shepard dies ending. Otherwise it's basically treated as a very generous gift, just with bugs and the like:?

I don't think there's any need for an SR-3 in ME3. I can't see Bioware blowing up another Normandy just for the sake of another more advanced ship. They already played that card with ME2. I personally believe SR-2 and EDI will play major roll in ME3, that said this is the final part of the trilogy so i would imagine the destruction of SR-2 will happen in at least in one possible ending, but thats just conjecture on my part.

I think we'll see the SR-2 through to the end. Or at least I'm hoping they don't go back to the bow-up-the-ship well. Remember Seaquest DSV? That blew up at the end of every ongoing season.

I grew up in a superstitious household. Was told that it is bad luck to name your ship, baby, pet or anything you love after someone you lost for fear they would suffer the same fate. So I was surprised that they name the new ship Normandy SR2. I'm anxious to see if it lives up to its curse er...name.

I doubt it. Hell, I even doubt we'll be playing Shepard in the next game! At least let us play someone else in case you get your shep murdered. Can anyone say "Joker gets bone upgrades!" ?

I always wondered what to do with these resources. I mean, my first playthrough, I strip-mined the whole damn galaxy! And what did I get for it? A big bill for probes. I was really surprised that they didn't let us SELL the extra resources Shepard gathered. Even WITH discounts, gear upgrades are expensive. Resource selling would give an additional income and incentive to go zig-zagging through the galaxy.

So for a while I actually thought "You know what? What if I could top off all my resources and instead of putting something in my ship, put my SHIP into something!" I.e. turn Normandy the Frigate into D-Day the Dreadnought! Or at LEAST a cruiser!

As long as I can put bling on, nice sofas, a shooting range, a larger bar with Aethya as Bartender, I will want it. But to achieve the SR-3 is probaly just dumping the SR2 for a better ship.
