I agree with Eccentricsage. I would love Bioware and EA might think of doing DCL, to continue adventure after the celebration? If you choose to travel and are leaving with Zevran then you can travel killing some Darkspawns on your quest of seeing the world. (they are still threaten lands out there) Continue your romance if you had one (where he and you both total confirm you love {add more romance seen with him}) and finally get to see his home city of Antiva. Where you have to fight The Crows for your survival as they battles over teritorial and trade disputes in other cities.... . This would fill in the blank of what you have been doing by the time you are called to duty in the Awakening. Zavran is one of the best characters that we all hate to see go away and must have.

in the new Dragon Age 2 or in any new DCL, they should make it that you show effection anywhere.  a kiss when you want and use some rooms.  don't have to always stay in a camp.  you are collecting money that you can spend  to  stay in a warm place. a few more love scenes. they are so touching they way way they made them.<3

Definitely Alistair. He's the reason I carried on playing the game... I didn't know about the Romance (my husband just said, here you might like this game...) so when he gave me the rose I was like... whoa.. hang on let's play this out a bit more... Ooooooh... Kiss kiss! lol  

I also had no idea about the endings (I hadn't checked on the web) and I actually cried when I played i through the first time (I wasn't the one who... yeh). I had to reload and make sure it was a happy ending! Ahem. A game MADE me cry. Now THAT'S immersion. THAT'S what I want. And I wouldn't have cried had it not been Alistair there... 

So yes. I need Alistair back AND romance-able - after all we're off wandering the world together.

I'd also like to see Zeveran. I didn't pay him much attention on my first two play through - when I got to the third i suddenly realised how much depth his character had.

I think that Partying with Zev and Alistair and going off to Antiva would make a brilliant DA2 (Imagine poor Alistair being surrounded by people like the elf! hahaha!). The other's I'm not so bothered about. Although I did also like Sten.

I loved Oghren in DAO but not in Awakenings, he seemed changed too much - didn't like to joke about himself and it took some of the fun away, so I think it's time for him to retire.

Not really fussed about the rest - would be nice to meet new people but hear about the others from time to time if the situation allowed it.

On topic, I'd prefer new companions. I'd like a female warrior that sticks around. Other than that, I really have no real preferences aside from "not the old companions." Maybe more along the Zevran line for romanceables (i.e. not a palidin).

Maybe one or two who don't have a dark past for the PC to uncover. Who knows, I'm pretty confident that whatever Bioware does, I will like it.

Alistair is really the only one I desperately want to see more of. Im a fan girl, what can i say. Other than that, as long as the characters are still interesting and/or entertaining I'll be happy with pretty much anything.

None of them. I am extremely bored of all these characters. I know their life stories and the only reason to bring them around again would be for some funny one-liners, meaning I would primarily only want Alistair or maybe Sten.

Alistair. Great character, great backstory, amazing voice actor and brilliant dialogue. Not to mention he's the exact version of many women's ideal man. Knight in shining armor with debonair wit and a smooth accent? Yes please!

I only really care about Alistair. He's probably my favorite part of the whole game.

And romanceable, please. I won't play the sequel otherwise, haha. He's an amazing character. He's well written, funny, and the voice acting is amazing.

Wynne should be dead by then, love Oghren but i think he's bout done, Sten seems more like a guest apearance, Shale is in DLC limbo, dog is i'm assuming at Sten's side, Justice is not returning (i'll avoid spoilers) & valenna no one wants lol

A new Qunari, i'd say one who abanded their ways since we got a fistfulla Sten's half of the Qunari life

Some kinda quirky charecter to fill the void of Shale & Justice

An old veteran warrior type who everyone calls "gramps" (much to his annoyance i'm sure!) sumth'n like Huang Zhong from Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Speaking of, a mysterious wise/crafty male mage like Zhuge Liang or Sima Yi of the above classic noval, fill the void of Morrigan who i imagine will never rejoin

I'd like the see a companion who is like the opposite of Justice. It could be a living person who is possessed by a demon from the fade. There could be some interesting ways to resolve the character's sotrylines as well. Do you betray the demon and rescue its poor victim from possession or do you keep the demon by your side and allow its victim to remain a necessary sacrifice in order to keep such a powerful ally? Nice black and white issues like that is what makes the choices in DA:O so much better than those in Mass Effect.

On another note, I'm kind of laughing at everyone who is suggesting a darkspawn character. "Good" or not, you do realize that the darkspawn spread the blight, right? You know, that nasty illness that poisons the earth, turns animals into monsters, and turns people into ghouls? Yeah, that's definitely the kind of party member you should be bringing into cities with you...<_<
