When you've returned triumphantly from the suicide mission, having stopped the collectors and thwarting the human reaper, finding that no one else in the game gives a damn? Hell I went to just about every NPC who might care, for example, Anderson, and he had NOTHING to say on the matter. You couldn't even explain to him what happened. The trouble you went to. The human reaper. Nothing.

Anyone else find this just a bit, well, weird?

Because that's being left open for ME3.

Be thankful that your crew at least talks about it.

It would have been really nice to get an acknowledgment from some of the major NPCs (Anderson, Liara, Kaiden/Ashley) in ME2 once you returned from the suicide mission. The poster above me is right, however, they're likely saving all that for ME3.

Yeah I agree, I just felt there could have been at least few lines of dialogue for some of the major characters in the last game.

I have to agree, you would think that the council would want to know about Collector/Base and Reaper threat, and it did seem wierd that the council wouldn't want to be upto speed on what you did with the Base and what you found.

Given all the DLC that we will be spoon fed, you wouldn't think the devs wouldn't slip the most subtle hint of acknowledgement by the major NPCs with later DLC missions?

They probably would deny it's existence anyway. Queue the turian council member's: "Ah yes, 'Collector base'."

I agree, it felt a little dissappointing having beat it all and all you get is a line from each crew member, after that, everyone talks like it never happened. I guess it's nice that they're leaving it open for ME3, but a little more acknowledgement in ME2 wouldn't hurt..

This is why, despite what everyone said about not being able to continue the game at the end of ME1, games like this need a definitive end. They just feel pointless after the main enemy has been defeated.

Unless there is some DLC that takes place chronologically after the attack on the collectors base then I feel bioware should have done what they did at the end of ME1 and ended it right at the point you tell TIM to shove it.

I'm starting to feel this way...

I'm sure it will be covered in upcoming DLC or in ME3.

Exactly. If they bring a new DLC (character) i start a new game for all the dialog and what not, rather then just sitting in space doing nothing. =P

I don't think TIM wants anyone telling the Council that he just received the Collector base (assuming you didn't destroy it). He's probably got all kinds of misinformation ready to distribute just in case.

Yup I got that feeling too, Anderson got nothing to say about that and I kinda understate why.

You are not part of the alliance anymore he even said himself that even if he knew about Alenko/Ashley in Freedom's Progress he wouldn't tell you, so your mission is like a top secret or black ops, no one is ever going to know unless TIM wants it.

Even Shepard is not doing this for the glory so I doubt he/she is going to talk about saving one more time the universe. Even then no one is going to believe you because the council denies the existence of the reapers.

This one suffers the "middle child syndrome." More questions left at end than at the beginning of the story. Once the Reapers are defeated the races start fighting among themselves again. Just like allies did after WWII.
