for me it was the Intelivision  I was about 4 or 5 maybe it was also the first console that had voice capabilities even though it was pretty limited and you had to buy the upgrade for it. We had b52 bomber, I don't remember the exact name of it but it played like an early version of civilization protecting your citizens and keeping them happy and making crops and stuff. We had the dungeons and dragon games, tron, football boxing a lot of other games I can't remember much. But I own the system once again I bought one off of ebay about 4 years ago and it is still pretty awesome

Long time ago, in a far far galaxy there was this computer called Dragon that worked with tapes. My dad had one and it started there.

Utopia was the name of that game.

I loved Intellivision.  I have one dopwn in my basement but I don't know if it works or not.  I may have to get off my but and see if I can hook it up to my older tv sometime.

I've played other consoles before, but the first one I owned was an Atari 7800. I still have it too. Sort of. It's with a friend and I never managed to get it back before we both moved out of the city. I make a point of teasing over it to this day.

I remember playing Desert Falcon fondly. Ballblazer wasn't bad either. Karateka was one of the first games I ever finished. Hell, one of the first games I played that had an ending.

I remember around 1989 or so I really wanted my parents to buy me an action max for christmas because the commercials made it look awesome. It was a video game system you hooked up to your VHS player and television but from what I read about it the system and the games really sucked

Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Though we didn't have it very long and all I remember playing on it is Fievel goes West :-\\ My main early videogaming memories come a couple of years later, when I started spending LOTS of time at my neighbours houses playing on the Megadrive. Good times. Toejam and Earl was the first game I ever completed =)

My first, meaning I paid for it, rather than my older brother's or space wars on an old packard bell, was the Sega Genesis, made the mistake of getting a Sega CD when those came out, errr Sewer Sharks was such an annoying game, you couldnt screw up, if you did had to start all over again. The Star Wars game was pretty good though.

I loved the Sega Genesis! I sold it to pay for my PS2 (my parents have a thing about wanting their kids to learn about the value of money, sacrifice, and all that jazz...Shame on them!).

I bought the Sega Genesis collection for my PSP...One of the best $30 purchases EVAR!

I remember Zero Tolerance I've been trying to remember the name of that game for years! I never owned it but I rented it all the time from the rental store. It was good fun

The first thing I owned that could play computer games was the Commodore 64, though I spent more time learning BASIC programming on it than playing games. My first pure gaming system was the Nintendo Gameboy. It turned me into a Tetris addict.
