Nearly all of them are some shade of blue, and in their older stages, their head-tails (i guess you can call them) turn a dark blue. That much I know, along with mostly a lot... but I'm not how some are Purple.

Sheppard mentions to Mordin that the Asari have a wide range of skin tones.

Blue seems like it is the most common shade but it isn't the only one. Asari have varying skin tones just like humans do. In fact I believe it is mentioned in one of the codex entries on the Asari.

It is sort of like how humans can have anything from pale 'white' skin to dark brown. The purple Asari seem darker complected than the blue ones. Perhaps their ancestors originate in areas that are similar to Africa in climate?

Where they grew up and who the parents were play a part. Also has to do with age.

What is most curious is how Human's can be white, yellow, brown or black. Very strange no?

I didn't mean anything "racial" about it, from what I've gathered from passive observation about Asari is that they really don't have "races". Humans just love to divide themselves.



But, im sure Asari aren't a "one color" species either so, I'll give em that. And yes, the purple ones are generally more, non-passive. Has anybody found that as well?
