When you buy the expansion is it another disc you play on? Or is it an addon pack like Oblivion or Fallout 3? I sold my DA and was wondering would i need the orginal disc to play the expansion or not?

I don't think you need the original disc but probably need it installed on your computer.

But in the business of playing nice, yes, you need to have DA:O installed. Primarily for the carry overs.
