started a new game with a non mod character, just incase my modded noble dont work in awakening, but it means she wont have the cool hair and undies, bummer !

i think its just we have no romance options not sure if they ditched all romance from the game hopefully not though

Well I have been as upset as everyone else on this thread. Today however I did exactly what Gaider has told us to do if we dont like it dont buy, I went to the store where I full paid pre-ordered my DA:A and had my money refunded to me. If we are this upset over this piece of trash they are going to hand us then lets not pay for it.



Reason why in my opinion DA:A will be a piece of crap in a box.



1. DLC content carry over, basicaly you have taken my money and said " Screw you, you want more of these then buy the new DLC.

2. Romances were not the main reason for the game, the only reason I havent killed most of my companions or bothered to pick them up at all is because my actions had adverse effects in each relationship sadly now I can pick my nose and fart at the campfire and they wont care,

3. Are you F***ing kidding me, I cant carry shale over into the expansion agian another DLC stick up.

4. The new female mage is morgain that it is not funny, I mean they could be twin sisters. Anyone ever hear of if we dont have new models then lets not release the expansion until we can get some.

5. And the biggest reason why DA:A is gonna suck a fat hairy turd, Bioware with its recent success is now going to churn out crap and ruin what was a wonderful franchise.



PS. you guys have done the same thing with ME.2 I am going to a ME disc burning party friday, seriously people are that PO'd with Bioware atm.

but at least u get to meet her twin sister with a relly annoying voice

in all fairness its not just bioware its ea as well. Yes im dissapointed even annoyed but theres no point in kicking off. Having an opinion on the game and posting it as appose to trashing bioware who wernt the only ones working on the game is a little bit harsh

I would love to see Gaiders reaction when the next thing Bioware puts out falls flat because we are all tired of being bent over by companies who got big and thought they new better than the people buying the product.

i'm not pee'd off as such just dissapointed but losing my warden armour and my starfang sword thats a low blow i loved them they were part of my character

I will really be lost without my Starfang. My F Duel Wielding PC rocks with her swords.

I did not know this until now and I must admit I'm bummed. I can't fathom running into Alistair with my noble human--his wife--and he doesn't acknowledge that. I guess I shouldn't complain so much about getting dumped by Kaidan in ME2...

I feel disapointed about the expansion too. I played through the game once and got a happy ending and then I heard about the expansion and I thought yay like my epilogue said I'll get to go on more adventures with Alistair and we will rebuild the grey wardens together. I made Anora queen instead of Alistair so my Dalish elf could have a happy ending and not just be the kings bit on the side.
And I think she makes a better queen anyway and wants to be be ruler more.

Then when I heard Oghren was actually the returning character I was like WTF!?? It should be Alistair, he's the one that would want to come with me and help rebuild like my epilogue says and he'd be able to since he's not king in my game. My story isn't continuing like I thought it would

I don't want Oghren to be my companion instead of Alistair. I hate that fact and feel really disapointed. I don't hate Oghren, I just would rather have Alistair than that stinky dwarf.
I feel like it's broken the story, don't know if I want to play the expansion now. If I get really bored I might but what's the point in playing my character?? If the story is stuffed. I may as well make a new Grey warden and the game is no longer unique and just another generic RPG that doesn't really continue.

It seems like any game EA gets their hands on gets stuffed.(Such as Sims 3 and Earth and Beyond) Games are good until that company joins in. They end up introducing lots of dlc to try and make extra money. I think they will make new dlc that you prob can only use in the expansion and no where else. EA is kind of like Herren from Wades Emporium.( The guy that's more about profit than making a quality product)

will visit Kal'Hirol (a *dwarven* dungeon)
So apparently the expansion will heavily focus on dwarvs, dungeons & the deep roads. To
me the most tedious and boring part of DA.

If this is going to be Orzammar reloaded (dungeon crawl, few quests, lots of hack'n'slash) , I'm gonna pretend DA never got an expansion and just hold out for DA2.

Yeah. Just learned about this FAQ today and add me to the list of disappointed. I almost wonder if this was created with the intent that you would play as the 'new' warden rather then carry over your character from Origins. It just seems that that's the biggest feature of this.



Will I be purchasing this..? Before I said yes, but the more I'm learning about it, this is turning into a "wait and see.." type of option. In all truth, I wasn't really fond of the NPCs from the first game too much, but Oghren is not on my top list of: If I had to choose someone to come back. The lack of romance or even romance carry-overs comes off as strange as hell to me. Isn't romance and Bioware always in the same sentence? That's usually one of the first questions of every Bioware game out there. It just makes me wonder just how tightly written this story is going to be. While I agree that it is the author's choice to make the story proceed, aren't Bioware games about choices and such..?



My only grip with the no DLC is the fact that with how few unique looking gear is, too much was hit or miss appearance wise. I didn't like a lot of the mage robes or full armor choices.. so, I was pretty much in my Blood Dragon armor all game.. I can hope for some good looking stuff.. but...



We'll see.

I'm joining the wait and see parade here... very disappointed. EA always do this. I agree that Bioware and romance are synonymous, so this doesn't make any sense at all.

I am just heartbroken. I was so looking forward to this expansion, thinking it would expand on an already awesome game and then this. No DLC content (no Starfang) and worst of all my love Alistair will not even acknowledge me, it cannot get any worse. I will just need to drown my sorrows in a large glass of wine
